Shauny turns down new contract

Why would Marwood say this? He is a first class prick if he has said it.

Whatever you think of Shauns current form he is Blue through and through and he deserves respect.

If he is still negotiating or stalling over a new contract it should not be discussed at a fans forum. Has Marwood learnt nothing from Hughes farcical sacking?

I couldn`t agree more. Marwood and Cook are a big embarassment to City.
 
SWP is quality and has scored some screamers for City since coming from Chelsea and worked for the cause for years. He's had a bit of a dip in form but I still think given time he and Richards would be a good pairing down that right hand side if they were allowed to spend more time working together. They can attack and defend in pairs.

SWP stays and plays for me. Best right footed winger we have. He puts in a good shift supporting the defence. If SWP does loose his place what a player to take off the bench late on when defences are getting ragged. ANyways SWP starts for me.

Totally in agreement. Richards and SWP worked excellent in tandem down the right flank. They penned down the opponents in their half and either of them cover each other when one of them counterattacked in full flight. That have the right chemistry.
Mind you these pair are our academy products. To dismantle the pairing will be an awful shame! Furthermore this is against our blueprint i.e. forging a winning mentality and be a CL team!

Zab, on the other hand, is an overall 'liability'. He is not productive and can't score when released with a through pass because he does not have the pace, power and scoring nous. Granted he was excellent against Liverpool given that City had 'the handbrake on' with no intention of going for a win or scoring. Sad to say, at times he also commit stupid fouls which have resulted in our opponents scoring and City losing valuable points.
 
if this story is even true then i would'nt offer him another contract for another year, who'd offer him more money than us? he can at times be a match winner but those times are few and far between these days. whilst he still has the ability, i hate to say it but EVERY defender has figured shaun out these days. he used to run at defenders with skill and pace and they had nothing in return but something has been missing from his game for much of this season, he can still pick a pass and has a good shot on him but defenders know he'll pause then try and knock it round them and catch it rather than just skin them, either that or run into them and fall over losing the ball (has put us under a fair amount of pressure doing this)

definately keep him for the squad as he'd be great back up but sorry folks he just ain't the future anymore, would love to see krasic or eden hazard come to give him the competition for his starting spot

Just look at Sunday every time he got the ball he drew 3 defenders and this happens every time he plays if we had someone on the left with the same threat and ability we would be quids in
 
SWP has still got loads left in the tank, works his bollox off every game, draws players to him allowing space for others to use and is a goal threat from midfield. Getting rid would be a big mistake IMO. One of the few at our club who isn't just here for the money. BTW how much have we missed Richard Dunne recently? be careful what you wish for, players that actually WANT to play for city a few and far between!
