Shay - he's leaving

Edited. You do have a habit of coming across as ITK mate, which for the uninitiated can be misleading... However the more experienced amongst us know that it's usually pure speculation. Not that that's a problem of course.

;-)

As for Shay and his alleged deal with Celtic... If it's true then that would be perfect for everyone. But if we can't get him back at short notice then wherever he goes should have to stump up the cash. IMHO.

I have always maintained I know nothing.

The people who PM and text me know loads of stuff though ;-)

Do they? And what kind of things do they text and PM you...?

-)

I realise this is off topic but do you prefer to visit Fulham or Wolfsburg on an away day fbloke?

I wondering if there is a hidden meaning there?

***looks over shoulder***

Seems I might not have been far off. Shay's apparently seeing a back specialist in Germany.

Sure you are Shay...

I am shocked by such a suggestion.

I cannot imagine that the club aren't telling us the truth and that Shay would be involved in such underhand dealings!

Any substance in the rumour City will be selling traditional Bosnian grilled meat at half time in exchange for some Irish stew?

Sorry for clogging up this topic with this.

SHAY GIVEN is still behind Mark Schwarzer in Arsenal's keeper chase.
Boss Arsene Wenger remains on the trail of Fulham's Aussie ace Schwarzer, 37, with a £2million offer on the table.

Given, 34, would jump at a move to the Emirates - having been displaced by Joe Hart at City.

But Wenger says there are huge difficulties in trying to sign Given, not least financial.

Wenger said: "You can't offload the players when the financial difference between the two clubs is too big as no one can pay the wages.

"I don't know how much their keepers get each year but you must pay the players who go.

"Anyway, City need two keepers. They offered Shay Given a new deal."
Anyone know when the quotes were said and if there is any truth in the new contract offer?

Not on any menu I have had offered up for perusal.

Interesting thought though.

on that midnight train to...Celtic. Hear City will reluctantly help him find a No.1 position elsewhere- with 24 hour recall.
Celtic are his preferred option, albeit not the most lucrative for us.
Fulham trying to muscle in. Shame - if it was just down to money, think he would be defo staying.
You are out of order for telling everyone porkers of such magnitude. Please get your facts right before using such scaremongering headlines and for writing such tripe. Shay will stay and fight for his place.

Then you clearly have a better source for the up-to-date info than I had, such is the strength of your post.

As of early last week, Shay was telling the staff he felt the only option open to him was to move on and subsequently Celtic had already been in touch with regards this.

I have since seen a supposed back injury and a new five year contract offered in his direction - None of this has also been confirmed on denied?

If your information is correct, then I stand fully corrected.

However, until we hear or see, it's little unfair to be calling me out of order?

You have every right to stand by your info, just as any one else.

Totally OT here Tolmie but meaning to ask you for a while, a couple of weeks ago you revealed we had an interest in Diego Forlan, has that gone cold or is it still an option? Did Atletico pour cold water on it or did it never even get that far, to your knowledge?
