When did he take over the U.S. team? No offense, but the Lionesses have never been #1 in the women's game. They certainly won't be with Neville at the lead.

I didn’t actually say that they were #1 in the world, but I did say “probably the best women’s international football team in the world”.
However at the time the women’s team were on a sustained upward trajectory in the rankings, reaching #2 in the official world rankings.
Since taking over chuckle 2, has managed to buck the trend.

I actually think the gap between the US and everyone else is widening rather than closing. Germany and China’s decline has certainly not helped matters. For some time it looked like England could narrow the gap slightly but they’re definitely going backwards. Eventually Neville’s role will have to be called into question.

Here is some things on her. Have to say, I think she is like the US Women's team Spanish Dave, quiet and and unassuming yet VASTLY underrated by the average fan. The Brash and outspoken Rapinoe and Morgan get the headlines. Heath is the quiet assassin.
