Sheffield Utd (A) post match thread

A much needed 3 points ahead of Lpool and Spurs. I still felt we moved the ball too slowly but we did create enough chances today which makes a change from some other games this season. Mahrez should be on the bench for both of the next two - B.Silva on the right and Foden in the middle and I think we’ll notice the difference. The back 4 looks more solid than it has in years.

Beat Liverpool and I think we’ll have turned the corner and start to play with our confidence again, there are signs of it creeping back in.

Poor Raheem never gets a break. He needs to be rested or he will breakdown with injury

otherwise it was pretty much the team and substitutions id have picked.

we just have to face the fact that any forward 6 we pick is never gonna be a patch on the 2017-2019 team

There is no joy in that City squad. Certainly no joy watching them. I enjoyed the Pearce days more that this. And I'm not joking. Give me Vassell and Cole over Sterling and Mahrez. Or
Bosvelt over Rodri. We are awful. Something needs to change. Probably the only change is me walking away finally.
Walk away and keep walking, you prefer the Pearce days?
Whats up are you fucked off we won? Sounds exactly like that to me.
What an absolute nobhead of a post, we just won away at a difficult place.
Get to fuck.

Dias looks like the real deal. Forging a strong partnership with Laporte.

Raheem was unplayable in the first half, although regressed quite a bit in the second

Rodri had his best game so far this season

Torres looks like he could be something really special

Kyle's been our best player so far this season and continued that great form. He's really holding that backline together

Cancelo looked great going forward

Cons:

Mahrez. Christ almighty

Pep. Not sure what's going on with these subs, although I'm sure someone will come out and tell me not to dare question him because he's supposedly a genius

First time in a while I've been confident in the back 4. Walker in his best form since signing. Dias and Laporte working well together. Cancelo looking settled on the left and contributing well in attack.

As for the attack you can tell it's still to get properly going but that's understandable with the injuries and lack of pre season.

Don't wanna talk to early but I've a feeling once Aguero and Jesus are back we could see one hell of a team

3 points a dominate performance just lack the clinical finishing which hopefully will come.

No easy games for us this season we will just have to grind out the wins.

Big game next weekend of course.
