Should City Follow West Ham and Reduce Season Ticket Prices

Re: Should City Follow West Ham and Reduce Season Ticket Pri

I think its a problem in football in general, not just at our place. I cant see them coming down anytime soon either unfortunately. As others have said, a price freeze is the best we could hope for, they know damn well that (within reason) alot of our support will pay too see us regardless of price so they ride us, doubt they care as too if they've been supporting city for 20 years or 20 games, business is business for them.

You could say there has been a price freeze for the lower end prices anyway, and there's another few thousand of them available as well at the £299 and £380 level (were there £380 ST's for this season?).

I'm sure many people have saved themselves money this year, even if I go platinum, I'll have saved £170, so will my lad, and another couple of mates, and we'll also have relocated together.

Yes there are some very expensive seats at City next year, but the majority will pay much the same as this year, and these new "premium seats" are not designed to be for season ticket holders, they are aimed at day trippers, as match day sales.

I'm not sure if that true, there are such things as rich football fans. If I was back in Manchester and had the cash I'd have one with no hesitation.
For the current hospitality packages which include a hotel room where exactly do they get seats? Any idea anybody?

Half of the Premia tickets have been bought by existing season card holders!

There will be some day trippers but they won't be in the majority.

I will be paying what ever price the club set how about you?

But I still think the club have quite a bit of wiggle room we need to rise match day revenues per head we have some the cheapest tickets in the league we need to be on a par with our top four rivals

It's a business end of.

£1,225 mate.

OK if it's a business then it's one that needs to up to up its game. A season card holder in 206 told me that he would have paid the £1,750 if the Club had bothered to phone him to explain the reasons for the price increases. Instead he will be spending between £300 and £600 in another part of the ground.

I never said they get everything right but no business can have a blind loyalty to it's customers especially when it's direct competitors are already in front. We as fans might not like it but City are actually cheap by comparison. Even without FFP the club directors are legally bound to maximize profits and, despite the views of some of the fans on here, that may be achieved whilst having more empty seats.
It may also be achieved whilst alienating some of it's longer standing fans Harsh I know but just a fact.

We are not maximising profits though. A number of people around me in 206 said that rather than be moved for Champs League games they might have been willing to pay a fair bit extra. Especially if there was a chance of a pint. However, the Club hasn't asked and we then get the situation for some of the CL games that we get offered our usual seats back at usual face value.

Fair play to the scousers tonight for boycotting their game at the ridiculously over priced Hull Shitty.

Max half full end if that. Similar to our Wigan protest a number of years back when Whelan backed down and next season prices were cut again.

Re: Should City Follow West Ham and Reduce Season Ticket Pri

In the ideal world YES however that's not the case,
The best scenario would be at least a 10 year price freeze.

From what I understand, they've boycotted the game by buying concession tickets, and then not going, not quite sure I see the logic of that one.
