So how much extra are you chipping in next season?

I See Bayern Munich are having another poor season despite not havingvticket price hikes!

I will be paying what ever price the club set how about you?

But I still think the club have quite a bit of wiggle room we need to rise match day revenues per head we have some the cheapest tickets in the league we need to be on a par with our top four rivals

It's a business end of.

£1,225 mate.

OK if it's a business then it's one that needs to up to up its game. A season card holder in 206 told me that he would have paid the £1,750 if the Club had bothered to phone him to explain the reasons for the price increases. Instead he will be spending between £300 and £600 in another part of the ground.

I never said they get everything right but no business can have a blind loyalty to it's customers especially when it's direct competitors are already in front. We as fans might not like it but City are actually cheap by comparison. Even without FFP the club directors are legally bound to maximize profits and, despite the views of some of the fans on here, that may be achieved whilst having more empty seats.
It may also be achieved whilst alienating some of it's longer standing fans Harsh I know but just a fact.

Which is fine in a keep winning trophies world but not so if they dry up. The new fans will depart and the priced out fans will have found other things to do with their time and money.

The empty seats against Villa need to tell everyone at City all the need to know. City fans won't pay £50+ for a match ticket for a end of season CL/relegation decider. Price the season tickets/matchday tickets correctly and those empty seats will be filled., regardless of the fixture.

9500 City fans on the waitng list and we couldn't sell out yesterday, even with a limited capacity of 45,000 due to the redevelopment works.
45,036 is the given attendance, is that not (all but) a sell out? Whether everyone turns up or not is a different matter.

How do you arrive at that conclusion? Arsenal sell out without winning trophy's ok they have a lot of fans who may not of supported them for years but so what.
I know the fans think the Club owes them for the bad times but actually they don't

I think being in cash rich London helps and they play entertaining football on the whole.

Maybe we don't need to keep winning trophies but the entertainment needs to be there or we wouldn't have lost 8000 when Pearce was in charge.

We have certainly gained plenty since winning stuff and these include lots of tourists so would imagine they would also go as quickly as they arrived.

Just a hunch but if we do expand further and have a 62,000 capacity, we will only sell out that if we are competing at the top level every season and playing attractive football. Two fellas who sit near me are on about giving up due to cost and not enjoying the quality any more! I know that sounds mad after the great stuff we have seen in the last few seasons but expectations have clearly risen!

Re: Should City Follow West Ham and Reduce Season Ticket Pri

In an ideal world City would be the first of the 'big clubs' in this country to lower the prices in line with the new TV money. Say for example, our most expensive season-ticket being £650.00? more than doable in the upcoming climate & in line with the likes of Bayern & BVB in Germany who receive a pittance in TV money in comparison.

Sadly though I can't see it happening with Soriano at the club, trying to maximise every revenue possible due to FFP, despite the fact the new TV money in theory should see us leaving it behind.

Re: Should City Follow West Ham and Reduce Season Ticket Pri

Well I've given up on the Franck Muller watch sellotaped to my seat and the Cartier cufflinks in the Season ticket pack - so a price freeze is the best I can hope for next time.
If fairness my tickets have only gone up a very reasonable £1400.00 this season. Thanks City.
