Should City Offer Subsidised Away Travel?

They could put a special train on for us, in fact, if Mansour can buy a City plane, he can buy the fans a City train!

I like the idea of a City fans' train! Holed up at Castleton sidings during the week and then rolled out for away games. Painted up like the aeroplane!

Part of the away day experiance is having a few pints before hand. The thought of going on a Club coach direct to the ground then back again is not my idea of fun

If Chelsea/Stoke are keen to encourage their away support and lets say City feel the same would it not be possible to reciprocate with ticket pricing. Lets say we charge £30 for the 2500 Chelsea fans who come north and Chelsea charge us £30 for the return fixture. If tickets are normally say £50 then that would only cost each club £50,000, significant but not excessive, but would also make a big difference to the individual supporters attending, especially those that want to travel independently. Reciprocal arrangements could be made with any other clubs willing to participate. Only major flaw would be where one club's travelling support was of a significantly different size, but even then ticket prices could be averaged out.

There's no such thing as a free lunch and I can't believe that they will be doing this out of their own pocket. It will be paid and accounted for somewhere else along the line. It would definitely help away match-goers though so I'm all for it.

Couldn't think of anything worse than sat on a club arranged dry coach but if they were to subsidise privately arranged travel then I'd be in

I appreciate people like a scoop on the train or coach when they travel away. However, would you go without for 2 hours on the train, or 4 hours on the coach, if you where given the opportunity to travel for £10 via the club?

City should do a Stoke. City should defend their fans, offering lower prices at home and offer opposition fans lower ticket prices too. City should take the lead and win a few hearts and minds.

Cheaper away tickets would be better, but fair play to Chelsea it's a start

isnt down to city unfortunately, though we are guilty of charging very expensive tickets too. £10/£20 trains to london for away games would be an amazing gesture by the club, it would help the general atmosphere at london games which seems to be a bit shit in recent years
