Should this whiny woman I know be allowed to go on holiday?

No, if you don't work you should get no money, I'm not going to work my ass off for a wanker of a manager whilst Vicky Pollard's can watch Jeremy Kyle with a roll up and a 2 litre of strongbow.
If you lose your job tomorrow and cant get another one what will you do?

A friend of my wife's was chatting on the phone last night. She is going to majorca next week. She is on the sick, due to 'chronic' neck pain and has 3 kids. I ask you, people of bluemoon, should people on benefits be allowed out the country?

Why, do you think someone claiming in Newry should not be allowed to go for an interview in Dundalk?

Presumably not in the proof reading field.

Re: Should people on benefits be allowed abroad?

I have mates on benefits who are on them not by choice but because they have a mortgage to pay and children to look after. They genuinely need the money while they're job searching

I remember when I got made redundant a couple of years back and I went to the job centre in Bolton to see if any engineering jobs where opening up. When I was coming out I heard two scrotes with 5 kids talking. Basically she wanted him to hurry up because I think she wanted to go Greggs or something. Then what really wound me up was his reply, 'I've got to pretend I'm looking for a job or they wont give me my benefits'.

People like that should be targeted, the people who take the p*** out of the benefit system.

What has the fact that she has three kids got to do with it, unless of course she is taking them out of school to go.

So would you begrudge some guy who has just worked for 30 years lost his job then goes on jobseekers allowance while he looks for something else?

So you know that her 'chronic' neck pain stops her doing everything then?
Mum's ill so the kids have to suffer as well?

Are you a doctor?

Re: Should people on benefits be allowed abroad?

Please don't turn it into a hate thread. For the record, i believe it has fuck all to do with anyone, where anyone goes. It was the reaction of one of my lads at work. As i am getting him to drop the mrs friend off at john lennon. He is normally a laid back fella, but went into a bit of a rant, along the lines of 'how can someone who's never worked and live on handouts from the state, afford to go abroad'? (he can't this year due to making home improvements instead)
