Should we be looking at new kit deal?- new update pg34 Chelsea NIKE DEAL

UCLA are huge though, college sports in America is so big it literally makes no sense and you see no end of people walking round in there stuff all over the world. Infact I would say Under Armour got a good deal there

They aren't huge anymore. They used to be but their power in basketball has decreased and American football they aren't very good either. That being said, they are in America's 2nd largest television marker, a popular city for tourists and any kid and their family member buying UCLA gear St the college bookstore will now be wearing Under Armour.

Said it a number of times, we need to walk away from Nike asap and sign with Under Armour, if possible. I'd be happy with Puma also.

Yep I spent a good 3 months of the last 12 in Thailand and although King Power appear to own everything there I never once saw anything Leicester related. I would say there is a very hidden thing to how that was done

Hidden like one very wealthy person buying many thousands of Leicester shirts to inflate their sales numbers? Or King Power, owned by a very wealthy person buying the shirts do the rich person doesn't have to spend his own £?

I live here mate and even during the last 12 months I have seen no more than a handful of Leicester shirts.
The guys that own Kingpower are not liked and have very dubious business practices.
They had a "parade" here in Bangkok for Leicester last week and had to pay people to fill the streets. Kinpower put adverts in the local media, 10 ponds, free t-shirt and food. 1000's turned up...Rent a mob. Amazing Thailand lol

Personally I think we should be looking at trying to get a better deal, be it with Nike or someone else. If Spurs are rumoured to be getting a deal worth £25m-£30m a year from Nike then that's over double what we get.

However, and I don't know how much this has been discussed on this thread, it seems that a lot of people forget that we've only been wearing Nike kit since the start of the 2013-14 season when the current 6-year deal kicked in. Prior to that we'd signed a 10-year deal with Umbro starting in 2009 which was paying £6 million a year so the subsequent Nike £12 million a year deal, starting just 4 years after the beginning of the Umbro deal, represented good business for the club at the time. This was announced at a time when United were still getting around £25 million a year from Nike so it didn't look too bad at all in comparison. The trouble is that in the meantime kit deals have rocketed in value and £12 million a year suddenly looks like a small amount of money but I'm guessing our next deal will be more in line with clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea. I don't know how much Arsenal were getting prior to their recent Puma £30 million a year deal but I'm guessing it wasn't much more than we're getting now.

He's not as well renowned as a Pogba, Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo, Bale etc.

That's my point.

I would say he is as renowned as Pogba and world wide shirt sales show he is 8th in the world last year. Memphis Depay was 3rd obviously because he signed for that bunch of pricks but he was above Pogba, Bale and Neymar was 7th

I think the only way we are going to get a substantially better deal is to sign with a up and coming manufacturer looking to break into the UK/football market.

The Chinese probably the best chance of this.

I hope whoever we sign with on the next deal, the club insists on the maintain of traditional colours for the home kit ( sky blue/white), in my opinion we have made a mistake by allowing Nike to change the colour of our shorts to sky blue. Manchester City should always be sky blue and white.
Away kits, no problem with the designers doing their thing.

Once you sign the contract you give all designing rights to the manufacturer, you have no say, obviously you can complain but then I can complain to ITV that Coronation Street is shit is doesn't allow me to have any input

Well it's time we made a stance, it a great honour for any company to be allowed the opportunity to produce the kit of Manchester City Football club.

As said we insist on a basic home kit of sky blue and white, the rest is up to them.

I can't imagine a club not far from here allowing Adidas to produce an all red kit, can you?

Bayern let Adidas change their kit last year to all red, big mistake, fans not happy and next season they go back to tradition.
