Sick of some fans

Yet we scored again and didn't concede. I don't see how it could possibly be seen as the wrong substitution to make.

Unless your suggesting that a 1-0 scoreline over 20 minutes means that you have got every decision perfect, I fail to see what the goal we scored (which Gelson had nothing to do with) or the fact that we didn't concede (which Gelson had very little to do with) has to do with anything.

I like Gelson, I think he has a great attitude and I hope over time he succeeds with us (or another club). But IMO it was a pointless sub to make.

How can anyone say Fernandes was the right substitution? As far as I could see he spent the 15 or so minutes he was on doing the usual headless chicken impersonation. His first tackle was about 2 seconds before the final whistle. At on point when we were defending a free kick he was in the middle with all the other defenders and he was trying to tell Dunnie to get out wide to cover the winger. Of course we are so well of for height when we defend set pieces we can afford Dunnie to wander out wide just in case the free kick is floated wide. He is a wan*er and if Hughes cannot see it the sooner we lose the pair of them the better.

If Hughes was so desperate to add extra defence the call should have been to put Micah on and play 3 central defenders with the wing backs pushing up a little bit further. Yet again our leader shows his absolute incompetence when it comes to tactics. Only thing I can see he has for Fernandes must be that F has a nice line in sheepskin wear for the weekends.

elano should be ashamed of himself i think, he was brilliant on thursday, but his performances have been shit this season, why just perform for the big games?

i can understand him taking elano off today, but cant understand why he brought fernandes on

Dont be soft in the head region - ashamed of himself??

You have abviously forgotten him winning us the games at home to west ham and omonia, him pulling the strings v stoke (H & a) pompey, hull, his battle v Wigan. And hwta does he get when he plays well..... dropped.

Hughes should be ashamed of himself for keeping our most technically gifted footballer sat on the bench for more than half of the season.

Hughes made the 3 substitutions to ensure we won a game we were in danger of throwing away. And we picked up all 3 points with a two goal margin. It worked. Had he made those substitutions and they equalised you would be the first on here to criticise. Fans can't have it both ways.

I'm not even saying it was the *right* substitution to make, or that Elano should have been brought off - merely that it wasn't the wrong substitution because we finished the game 4-2 winners.

He never finished too many games under Sven either....................But i don't remember all this blubbing then.............................Funny that!

The point of a sub is to improve the teams chance of winning. IMO only one of the three did.

It wasn't the best sub he could have made given the circumstances of the game.

In my book that means it was the wrong sub.

so you think his performace today and the rest of the season have been good? bollocks!!

and the back end of last season under sven? good? elano wants hughes out, hes a fucking disgrace and the sooner they get rid the better IMO

If people want to boo a decision then that is up to them. It's a football match and people are allowed to express their opinions on the match and decisions, as long as they aren't racist, homophobic etc.

So if we had brought off rob and replaced ith petrov, left elano on with gelson on the bench and drew or even losr then it still would have been the correct decision?? The mind boggles
