Sign Landon Donavon !

This is obviously a media hype for our American cousins. Trying to sign their country's golden boy will get City a mention in the Yank press and with it some extra attention for the present tour. If we were in Japan we'd no doubt be linked with the boy Honda etc etc.

I'd be very suprised if there is any mention of this once we depart the USA.
 
I wish people would stop with this "he played well on loan at Everton" crap, so did Jo the first year and lucky for the blue dippers they have no money or they would be stuck with him now. The guy is 28, failed in Germany and at the peak of his career ended up having to go play in the MLS!! There is a reason for that and a couple of months playing on loan for Everton, with their well drilled but industrial style, doesn't change that.

I'd have him. He has openly called Beckham a pillock in the past and that makes him alright in my book.

However should he sign I expect that we should sign an American announcer for every time his name is announced or he scores. I expect to hear, "And wearing the number 14 on his Jersy its LaaaaanDOOOOOOOOON DONOOOOOO-VANNNNN" *Queue canned cheering and wooping and the sounds of high fives*
 
I think he is a wicked good player! BUT! where? and is he good enough to get in the 1st team? And if not why would we buy him?

How about I called this in the Pearce era, when I was watching the MLS scene heavily some years back. I also mentioned Shalri Joseph, at the time, for the DM anchor that Yaya is at now. Similar types of player, except Touré is the real deal.

So, SB, I was waaay ahead of you!!
