Savic isn't worth taking into account right now. No way the player I saw last season will be ready to play for a championship side. A loan for sure this season.

Buy who we need and if Savic makes it, he makes it. If he doesn't, he doesn't.

Rekik is only 17, he won't need to worry about this any time soon.

Certainly hope so in savic's case. No amount of loan deals or experience will make this guy anywhere near good enough for us because he simply doesn't have the talent.

To be fair to the lad he had a great game at home to Bayern playing right back.

He played Bayerns reserve side and one average performance in 13-14 games isn't great.

But if Savic were as poor as you say he wouldn't even be able to cope with that squad. Make no mistake that that Bayern side they put out was a lot better than some of premier league sides we played this season and struggled against.

Also as I said before, Savic playing with Kompany is vital as he needs the guidance of a leader to show him the ropes until he becomes comfortable.

To say "Savic simple doesn't have talent" is not correct, in my opinion.

personally, i don't want to watch savic in a trial by error training during big matches. he can go get first team experience elsewhere and come back when he proves himself. he was by FAR the weakest player on our team this year...made some big mistakes. i'd chalk the majority of that up to nerves and inexperience, so he can kill two birds with one stone on loan next year.

as far as martinez, i've never watched him play...but i've heard nothing but good things about him here. and i must admit, the idea of someone who can play DM and CB is very enticing. if we could get thiago silva for 5-10 million more, i think i'd go that route...but again, hard to say since i haven't watched this kid.
