Reports this morning suggest we are going to try and get him now, reportedly an offer in the region of £25m will be tabled. His buy out clause is £30m euros (around £24mill)

The report is based on out bidding the scum in terms of wages on offer. Hopefully this will come off as we would be getting 1 player to fill both CB & DM and saving us funds

However for the paps to report that we are switching our focus onto Martinez as we look at losing out on Hazard is way wide of the mark. The reason we are looking at Martinez is because the terms to Hazard were done some time ago and we are now just awaiting his decision.

If this kid is as good as people say he is then signing him is an absolute no brainer. If we kept our current squad and could sign him, Hazard and a replacement for Tevez (assuming he goes) then I'd be absolutely delighted with our summer business

Martinez - play both DM and CB
Hazard - Winger and cover for Silva


And then a new CF, not too sure but if we went for broke I would have to choose Falcao from atletico.
