Yaya used to play Attacking Mid before Barcelona and even at Barca he used to go forward. His best goal.

Whether we like it or not, we might be dining at the top table but there is still a pecking order for the top table guests unfortunately Barca get first pick over us. Only good thing is their ability to get the money together, last year in Sanchez deal they were trying to flog off every man and his dog, we might be able to prise Pedro from them as compensation. :-)

I took my eldest kid to Gothenburg to see the Barca - Manure game last night, and of course Messi was the star of the first half, not surprisingly, but the second half belonged to Pedro. What a cracking player that is! I know it was only a friendly, but it was quite obvious the game meant a lot to both teams.

Pedro had more of an impact on the game than Iniesta, Xavi, Rooney, Welbeck, Kagawa... all of them except Lionel of course. His speed and movement is nothing but amazing, and just thinking about what this kid could do for us with the players we have is... well almost saddening, knowing of course he'll never come here.

Another player whom many hate, but who should be mentioned among the very best in the world is Busquets. Again an amazing player.

But back to Pedro: He'd complete our attack and would create loads of goals from pretty much anywhere on the opponent's half. I'd love to see us test Barcelona's resilience on this one. If he was available for £40m I'd say that's a bargain. He's worth it.

I was away so didn't see any of Spain games at the Olympics - They didn't win one game and they were among the favourites - how well did martinez play?

I went to the swamp to watch them and he was terrible. Way too slow and ponderous in the game against Morocco

Shame on you sir!..LOL

I wonder if this means they won't be looking to sign a replacement for the injured Gomez? I was kind of hoping they'd come in with a huge bid for Dzeko.

why would buying Martinez stop them wanting a striker?
