This is getting me sooooo excited for my first ever European away day.
Im flying into Milan on the Wednesday and getting the train to Turin, any1 else doing similar?

im doing the same thing to juve.

Good stuff, im flyin ryannair from manc/lpool, 1 nite in Milan then train to Turin next day for a big sesh before the game, if I can get tickets

Great trip, also on the singapore airlines wednesday and saturday morning - one of the best airlines i've flew with!

we went to an indian resturant on the wednesday night called maharaja which was excellent, then ended going in most bars along the way to Shamrocks. I was suprised to see so many city fans in there that night. One lad thought i was from switzerland, when i said swinton (it must be my salfordian accent which threw him) haha! plenty of laughs and local beers.

Thursday, we wondered round Salzburg a bit and was really impressed with the City, the weather picked up and it was great to see the place in all its glory. Made a few bars along the river + the irish bars again!

Got the bus to the ground and took a bit of abuse off a long haired idiot wearing a rag shirt singing 34 years at us....he received a few strong words back and pissed off! The shopping centre had a decent bar on it, where plenty of Salzburg and City fans were drinking large beers and enjoying plenty of healthy banter, which was a laugh.

The game was good and was made better by the atmosphere and Silva scoring early. The state of which some city fans were in was hilarious - one pissed up bloke was lay down on the staircase, with his hands on his head, drool running from his mouth, while being ignored and stepped over by fellow city fans - i think his mates sorted him out in the end.

After the game, we got the train back to the town centre and ended up back in a bar downstairs next to the Irish bars, loads of blues and local talent. City fans got behind the bar and DJ'd so plenty of Madchester songs were going on, until the owner came and chucked them out...cant remember much after that.

Friday got back to Munich and enjoyed the day there, stayed at a hotel near Neufarhm (near the airport)...back to the airport, very hungover and in need of my own bed!!

Roll on the next european adventure!

Hombre - we didn't go inside, but the bar was opposite where the buses pulled up. After speaking with Tom seems as though it was the same place mate.

Having read all the posts about peoples sightseeing tours of Salzburg it sort of makes me think I wasted my time spending the best part of 48 hours basically inside 2 Irish bars.
I did have a mooch about, to the Augustinerbrau garden & the Stiegle keller, but both were beer related trips!
To be honest, I cant see me doing much different in Poznan either!!

I think that was the place we went to after the game, it was great. Did you go inside and see the revolving table that they had?

Dunno if it was the same guy but there was a guy lying behind us on a few seats through most of the first half absolutely smashed.

In fact when I got home, my brother said "let me guess, you went to a Burger King, and Irish Bar and don't remember who scored? Oh, and you ordered a Chinese again coming through arrivals at Manchester Airport so it would home for when you arrived, erm, Swet and Sour Chicken again"

I was amazed I had become so predictable.

Went on Spikes trip with four other lads and we had a belting time. Thought Salzburg was quality place. Before the game we found a beer house full of locals scoffing and drinking.
Ian Cheeseman came by..."oyy cheesey" shouts one of the lads and he came over and sat with us for half an hour. He certainly knows his stuff on City ..alright fella.

The match is a blur. Back into salzburg to those paddy bars. Have to say that blues in them were absolute quality and the locals joined in and seemed to enjoy the songs.

Two incidents stick out...200 blues belting out delilah...very confusing at the time, and does anyone remember the heavy metal austrian bloke, all denim and long hair...a well know welsh blue reached across and snatched his hair off his head and ran off with his whig...please some one tell me this happened!
Got back to the hotel and only place we could find serving was the Tempel Sauna round the corner( alikely story you may say)...so like a shower of fuckwits we gave it a whirl..spent two hours getting even more pissed with a load of romanian hookers...watching porn films then the bar bill arrived and things rapidly went pear shaped and they locked us in...coppers arrived and I had to drop the fuckers 30euros which the sergeant put in his top pocket and secured our release. The door re opened behind us and the madam shouts "and take your fucking flag with you". An inglorious end to a quality day!!

None of the above suprises me one bit...
