Fair enough Fixer. But like I say, the DIC parallel is deeply disturbing. What I mean by that is, DIC are abominably bad businessmen. Their management of their investments is appalling.

I do hope the Sheikh, and the Abu Dhabi establishment in general, are better. I suspect, in fact, that they are. But nonetheless, it is a worrying parallel.

No probs brags, i note your concerns but be free in the mind that abu dhabi are a different animal to dubai, sheikin stevens will bring success i believe matey.

Surely with the amount of clout he has he'll make us a successful club but fuck me he could have caught on a bit quicker that you don't give a no mark like Hughes that much power over your investment.

This statement of intent ie buying Robinho was just desinged to announce our arrival. Whether Robbie was the correct signing or not doesn't matter, on the day we signed him we bid 400 mill euro's on any player the owners felt we could get that would send out that statement ie if berbatov would of come off we wouldn't of signed Robby imo.

Yes I trust his intentions 100%, but I don't trust some of the other figures that might be involved in this game, and I can see us bungling it as a result.

Mancini I trust, but I think he will just end up saying shove it if he's not given the backing he deserves.

Mourinho, no, he'll only look after Mourinho, he'll never be interested in any project that doesn't further Mourinho, his track record says exactly that.

I can't see beyond either as manager next year, nobody else fits the bill for me, the rest are too old, not good enough, or just not likely to be available.

I fear we'll end up with neither, and that means we'll end up with second best, since we have one of the two best already, I'd sooner we kept him.

[quoteyes or no?

it would appear/my impression from reading another large thread that quite a lot of posters don't[/quote]

NO How can you trust someone who invests 500 mil+ in a club that was totally skint, won sweet fa for decades.
Somethings not right

In my experience trust has to be earned.

It looks positive of course but so did Thaksin early doors.

I support City. Not the owner whoever that might be at any given time.

It's all obvious to me, there's oil under eastlands and he's the only one who can get to it, there will be blood!

Do I trust that they'll make the right decisions every time, be it small or large decisions ... no.

Do I trust that they'll get it right eventually ... yes.

Am I patient enough that I'm prepared to wait for cock up after cock up in the knowledge that we have so much money that one day our time will come ... no

No your right being a piss poor laughing stock of a premiership team with no chance of winning fuck all was better

What I was getting at, is that if I think the owner or his representatives are making a mistake I will say so.

Blind faith in them would be lovely but it's not for me.

I will always have an open mind about our owner ....

we owe him so much , but i don't take anything , or anyone , for granted.

Yes. I do.

I trust his money and intentions.

In terms of his advisors and decisions, I think so.

As long as we don't end up searching desperately for a manager this summer.

Do I believe that will happen?

No.

Would I be totally and utterly shocked if it did?

No.

Delighted we have owners with ambition, vision and the finances to put things into motion.

Happy at the patience they showed Hughes.

Happy with the way they got Mancini in with minimum of fuss and upset to the squad. No long spells with no manager etc.

I've nothing but faith in them although that faith is tested with each new rumour that emerges. Obviously the trick is knowing which rumours are worth believing.

So, yeah I do trust the guy and his team but I would like to know more of what's going on at times. This Mancini staying/going thing has been boring me since the guy came, the unrest is in the tabloids, all over here, it may be bollocks but do the players know the score, the full score? I would like them to come out and say 'he's temporary fuck him' or 'he's the one, like it or fuck off'. That's just me though, I have a weird thing regarding indecision.

I'd agree with all that. There are signs that the whole Mancini thing could have been handled better but that could easily be down to staff (Cook, Kloss etc).

I still believe that come summer it may all be forgotten.
