Today - no. However, depending on the performance rather than the result on Wednesday I may well change that to yes. Simple stats say that if we continue with this form and the chasing pack continue with there's, we will finish outside top 4. Does MP have the capability to turn our form round? God I hope so but evidence so far suggests not. I am suprised at all the definite no's I think that the call is much closer than that and finishing outside top 4 May have some pretty serious implications. I am not knee jerking on the basis of one result- more the evidence of this season. Hope I'm wrong.....

I think a lot of the No votes are based on the OPs question being as of this moment.

I voted No but if we got badly mauled on Wednesday and the team once again appeared to not give a toss then I'd probably change to YES.

Finishing outside the top 4 would be a disaster.Currently I think keeping Pellegrini until the end of the season is our best chance of achieving that
but if that appeared not be the case he'd have to go.
I hope you are right but would be interested in what evidence you think there is that he will turn things round in time.

Good points. We can get mauled in Barcelona, don't have a problem with that. They are a much better side at the moment with players who are used to winning these kind of games. But we HAVE to see effort and we HAVE to see players playing for the manager and shirt. If these things don't happen the result is almost irrelevant.

No. Not that it'd make a difference either way as far as this season is concerned. We would still finish in the top 3, there's enough quality in this team to drag us over that line, even though they're doing their fucking best to prove otherwise at the moment.

No.

And some reasons....

1. No evidence it will make any difference over 8 or 9 games, which is all he'd get, things could get worse and we might finish outside the top 4.
2. No evidence that he even works with the first team squad anyway, and therefore might not have any idea what is required for number 1.
3. No evidence that he can manage this standard/level of player.
4. He's already got a job, which in my view is on an equal to the first team coach, and we shouldn't disrupt that, as it may be more important to the long term strategy of the club than losing to Burnley.
5. Some (many) of the players need a kick up the arse, and I doubt they would be willing to take it from PV, he might have been a hard man as a player, and might be highly respected for that, but there's no sign of either as a coach, yet.
6. The club has a strategy that is working, there will always be peaks and troughs, this is a trough, no need to panic with the sort of knee jerk reaction that weak fans want. Its not a decision a football club and business the size of City should be making.

Why do we only see certain posters on here when things are going wrong?

Why?

Yes, but I'm not sure of the timing

Possibly wait until after the WBA game as that looks very difficult to me. We will not be physically strong for that, and probably come off a morale sapping defeat.

It would be a short term appointment until the end of the season with a view to permanent appointment

Need a lift, and a big change to get top 4

Pellegrini should go anyway in the Summer for allowing this to happen, so change it now.

The players are good enough, they just need 64,000 Volts put through them.

Thanks. Whilst I agree with most of your points I simply disagree that wanting his head would be knee jerk. We have lost 6/14 games and to be honest we haven't been that good all season. Again though I agree with the majority of what you say and hope you are right. I guess I am just torn. I guess I need to get the worst case scenario out of my head ( Sewer rats finishing above us )

It's a no from me. I'm sure PV will eventually lead our side one day, but currently he lacks experience at this level, and despite what we may or not think of Pellers, he is currently better placed than PV. Still too much at stake to risk a PL novice.

Do we need another topic when there are at least two that this could have gone in
