Singing End - Would You Relocate?

why not SAFE standing in Premier League? It is allowed in Scotland PL and from division one in England.

Is it still this Hillsborough crap that kills the idea? Its been 23 years. Move the fuck on

Fwiw Ste I think you've established there's enough people out there to make the idea of a trial worthwhile. Rather than argue the same points back and forth with people that skim through the thread and miss earlier posts I would suggest trying to open up some kind of dialogue with the club - without this, this idea will never get off the ground as it just cannot happen without their input.

As has already been mentioned, and taking on WNRH's ideas, I would approach them with the idea of making several hundred seats available for the Ajax game in the north stand available to fans that want to partake in this trial, from there you've got a clear and concise way of organising this.

Gaz, Why bother though when TBA already has a framework and history of liaising with the club.

As much as I agree that a trial is better than nothing, I envisage the same problem that TBA encountered with the "operation one end" which ended up with daytrippers in there who didn't sing.

if a Trial was to occur - we'd need a guarantee that people would relocate to sing and we would all be grouped together, with no daytrippers/people with no intention to sing.

i think you need a dedicated thread (which i supppose this was meant to be)or maybe people to pm you to estimate exactly how many people we are looking as this thread seems to be just people arguing the pros and cons.

for the record...im not sure i would want to move from 109 as there are a lot of singers there and its probably the best atmosphere in the ground as it next to the away fans which i like but if everyone there decided to move ...well i just dont know!

Well said...

Health and Safety, Political correctness controls the people.

We need Alcohol to drop our Ego's over here, I'd run down the street naked whilst sober, which is why I know I'd do this.

I have a drum and would be more than willing to bring it along should an ultra's section be arranged.

It needs something, I have been in the South stands for 5-6 years come from Colin Bell lv2 to get involved however finding myself singing on my own or standing in silence. May as well be in silence with a decent view.

The club need to be on side and make this happen, next season dedicate a section as the ultra section clear people out of there seats, yes people will be upset and kick up a fuss at first but 2-3 years down the line when we have a fortress will be worth it.

New songs will have to be made to accomadate the drum, drumming to 'were not really here' or the 'Yaya' song will sound like a none league shed outfit or even worse Pompey.

Whereabouts in South stand are you bud?

And I agree %100 about these songs. chanting is funny and whatnot but in the stadium they don't drift around like a song does.
We do however have stuff like the Yaya/Kolo that does sound good if organised properly with everyone in a section doing it.

I stand in 116, row K.

Obviously we will always sing the songs we have at present and the songs that are made up along the way. However to achieve a more powerfull and predominant atmosphere 'chants' will have to be made accommodate the drum to play alongside the ones we already have.

Like Liam said, you should come down to a TBA/CCB meeting. The more people involved the better chance we have of making this work.

Don't ask and you don't get get mate. The problem with "one end" wasn't the fault of TBA but the club poorly organising the relocation and advertising of this section which led to fans wanting to be there missing the relocation window and fans being in there not knowing it was supposed to be a designated singing section.

I envisage, by keeping a trial for Ajax small that it would be much more manageable. If you can secure x amount of seats in one block in the north stand for fans that want to be part of this you can then get the message out on here and the usual social media channels, get a list of people's membership numbers and then have everybody automatically relocated to this small block. By taking this approach you know you've got the right people in the right area and the club would be much more willing to accommodate considering the majority of the leg work is done for them.

If its a success, great continue it for the remaining European games this season with a view of making it a permanent fixture for league games next season. From there it can then be expanded and grown naturally.

I know what the club are like though, we could have it all organised, create a great atmosphere... but this is a "Trial" and the club would have some legislation or something which would state their unwillingness to do this again....No matter how loud and organised we were.

A good point made by Germans in another topic was the state of football over there which lead to the Ultras movement.
Low attendances lead to the owners loving a big gang of lads willing to watch every game.

We have a good turnout at the moment, with many families going, buying overpriced food and merchandise.
Would the club swap this for a big group of men who just want to turn up, sing, and go? with no intention of spending £4 on an hotdog or £45 on an official shirt.

Someone needs to create a facebook page which people could be organised on, once you have that, through your friends list you can see how big the interest is, then from there you can organise where you would buy tickets in the ground, who would bring drums, flags, banners, who would communicate with MCFC.

Without all of us actually doing something as a collective group we are just a bunch of individual city fans that the club probably wont bother to listen too.
