Singing section/Atmosphere

40k? not a chance
Sounds right to me. The empty SSL3 and the Romanians missing in L1 would be about 6K. Three quarters empty CB L3 4K. Elsewhere was reasonably full, with a few gaps here and there - probably another 4K. Thats 14K empty seats out of 54.5K so 40K sounds spot on.

I'l start by saying I began attending matches in around 1980.... 52 now... and have been a season card holder since the move... My season card says support since 1963, the year I was born which I stand by...

It's human decency Oakie.... the lad is clearly gutted he is leaving (though I wish he'd stay and fight it out) and as the great Shaun Goater said on the phone in last night, some players know when a fight is futile and Joe knows he is not likely to win this one... It was pretty obvious that being made captain and starting was significant i.e. it was his last game and therefore I was disgusted that the sparse crowd was thinned down massively by the end of the game..

The lad should have been give a proper send off and that was a whimper.... It feels like we've sunk very low.. the "Emptihad" felt apt last night and I felt ashamed.. the atmposphere was crap which was probably due to the aggregate score line but I feel like we are becoming rag like in respect of expecting success now and therefore the atmosphere suffers as a result.. I dont buy this "new stadium acoustics" shit,,, the away fans were small in number but loud,,, half our crowd are tourists.. the South stand lower the only section that seemed to make an effor for the team and for Joe...

I may need to wipe my fanny as some say but you have to agree with some of my points and therefore agree that we as fans have a lot of work to do....
I thought he had a pretty good send off. Plenty of Hart songs and a good tribute by everyone at 65 mins. Plenty stayed behind to applaud him at the end. What else would you expect?

Let me guess the Rags on social media have been spouting off again from there Devon homes?
It didn't look too bad last night considering the game was a done deal,Atmosphere it was the usual sections trying to get it going but again the majority didnt join in.
Which is there right, they pay there money they can do what they want. But it kills the atmosphere imo.

Plenty left... some would have legitimate reasons I guess... but it's a one off... so surely the early leavers could have made an exception...

We'll agree to disagree, you think it was ok, I thought it was pants

the atmosphere and crowd numbers was much better than i expected last night ,people expect way to much today

Considering that the game was a dead rubber for us the atmosphere was quite good, but it did fall flat at times as well, which was to be expected. Most of the chanting came when the Steaua fans started to sing. Considering that their fans came in great numbers knowing that the tie was over made for a better atmosphere that I was expecting. I thought that their goalie and 1 of their players did very well in brining to the ref's attention that Kelchi was badly injured, and that their goalie clapped him of was true sportsman.

Rubber stamped tonight, 100%, The Singing Section is completely in the wrong place and needs bloody moving.

Shame on the club for giving us that pitiful area of just a few thousand. Nights like tonight make it look like a fucking joke!

The noise travels far better from SS3. Credit to the lads in the singing section but the few at the back of the third tier get the loudest chants going.
