Off to La Thuile at the start of Feb for a week, can't wait. Snow hasn't been great so far this season but should hopefully pick up in the next few weeks.

Bens bus is about £76 / €93 return from gva.
If you are travelling from that London you can get Eurostar direct to aime la plagne then a bus to other resorts but you have to return from moutiers

Seat Ibiza with winter tyres and snow chains. Should be ok?

Winter tyres will be fine, but chains are worth it incase of snowfall. The police will make you out them on or turn you around if you don't have them.
A 2 wheel drive car with winter tyres will handle a lot better than a 4 wheel drive car with summer tyres on. Winter tyres make a staggering difference.

I'll make sure I have them on me before I set off from the airport, can't be having them turn me around.

don't put them on till you need to. if pulled just fix them to your car, or if it turns bad on the way.
