I'm a barrel of laughs, as I'm sure you are.
We should form a double act.
I just don't go along with stigmatising poor folk for the crime of being poor.
Some poor folk are *****.
Some rich folk are *****.
The difference is that the rich folk usually have a choice.

I can be funny at times but dont hate the poor because i would be hating myself as im poor.

I just dont get why those who are just getting by in hard times are blaming the poorest for the countries problems whilst the cunts who caused it laugh all the way to the bank.

"I bet you're a hoot a parties"

An expert change of subject during a discussion, I will keep this distraction in my back pocket in case things get sticky in a different thread :P

Yes I did.
But rather than grasp at easy fixes for complex solutions, I prefer to look at the bigger picture, and try to find underlying problems.
Sorry if this pragmatic approach doesn't fit with your Gekko-esque worldview.
You must be a hoot at parties.

tbf I think nijinsky's fetlocks would actually be great at a real party.

Great sense of humour, not thick, not boring and not a zombie.

I don't know if he knows all the Made In Chelsea characters though.
WOW!

Steel company moved, they all stayed.
Government chucked cash at the issue badly, instead of good retraining programs they gave the families cash and whatnot.
That combined with fecklessness gives you a ghetto :)

Jeeves, the pimms you fucking upper middle class ruffian.

Seriously, stop being a prat, if only for just one day.

I do really feel that is a reason it turned out as it did.
If the only place employing people shuts down and nobody moves to where the work is this will happen.

The people their need help retraining or just getting skills, how do we make this happen ?
I think we simply wont as the resources required will imo never be met by a government in today's economical and social climate.

A classic problem in many Northern towns has been the closure of the local industry and that results in the closure of the companies that relied on the local industry and that means people have less money to spend and local shops close too. Massive downward spiral. Retrain the unemployed to do what? If there are no jobs what do you train them for?

You have to remember that in a free market econonmy a readily available source of cheap labour is desirable as it suits economic needs in the short term and thats where huge profits are made. The Precariat (the underclass) are being put into a position due to welfare cuts and demonisation that they are now only able to serve the vice of capatilism with little hops of escaping the lives they have.

Child poverty is increasing, foodbanks FFS FOODBANKS in the 7th richest country in the world is an utter abomination and a fucking national disgrace in my eyes. Yet people on here think and believe the myths they are fed and buy into the demonisation of the precariat
