It's no surprise with all the bluemoon Sky subscribers who've screwed a better deal off them recently!
A big fuck off drug scandal that has been brewing with the team they sponsored would be my guess....Team SKY will no longer have SKY's backing at the end of next year.

I wonder if it has any relevance to this? Are SKY getting out before even bigger backers get involved and they end up like PL football has done where some clubs are owned by millionaires but its now a billionaires world?

That's because they are lol. I think at the top of every sport it's filled with cheaters. Too much money involved for people not to cheat.I don't get the point of competitive cycling. Anyone who actually wins anything will be branded a drugs cheat anyway.
If you look behind the headline of Team Sky, Sky have done a lot of good for participation of cycling at all levels in the UK along with British cycling from City skyrides for all rider types to social cycling groups.
My understanding is that this is Comcast looking at all advertising and sponsorships, Dave Brailsford will find it difficult to get anywhere near that amount of sponsorship anywhere in a time where more teams are struggling.
What's his knowledge of fooling the drug testing like?Saved by Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Good news for pro cycling IMO, will be interesting to see if they get involved in more non-Grand Tour races after this.
