SKY to withdraw from cycling

Interesting to see how things pan out, with G especially. I suspect that last year might be his only ever GT victory, unlike the serial winner Froome.
Neither are riding the Giro, so it would be a TOF and who will the domestics work for. With the new sponsors back to normal at team sky, good news for the riders.

Yep - all the hours of brutal training they have to go through, the psychological effort and determination - all to be labelled a cheat by some nobhead on the internet.
Don't forget the trauma of constant blood spinning, the psychological stress of going through testing knowing that they're guilty as sin, the long term health issues they know the PEDs will cause...

Yeah, I’d guess the management would have ideally wanted to spread the talent out, eg G for Giro, Froome for Tour and Egan for Vuelta, but at least this was it boosts their Tour offer. Maybe after Bernal in Paris-Nice. they are honing him for a foray at the first grand tour of the season?

Are there any other cycling fans here?

Sky have gone out with a bang this week in their final stage race the Tour of the Alps: two stage wins for 24 year old Brit Tao Geoghan-Hart and a stage win and the overall for 21 year old Pavel Sivakov. Neither had won any professional races prior to this week.

Be interesting to see if the same level of funding is continued once Ineos take over on May 1st.

That was a very impressive win by sky with the two young lads winning three stages ( when did sky race for stages against Nibali who looked good, as did Froome riding like a demented domestic ).Nice for Sky to finish with a win.
