Sky TV Going Up To £107 a month for multiroom.****Update***** Page 6.

Just given 31 days notice to SKY. IPTV seems to be a popular choice with people on here. Will we still be able to receive SKY/BT sports,SKY cinema etc with an IPTV provider? Best company to go with and best box for my money? Thanks.

best for boxes. uk based and good customer support. I have the one for £53 thats showing out of stock.

I know exactly where my cash goes and it aint to any fucking murdochs
Not keen on him myself but most mega rich people are unlikeable, if he wasn’t there you’d be saying fuck the guy in his place. If you’re wise enough to have morals about him, how about human traffickers? Where there’s easy money to be made, there’s cunts ready to exploit and pirating is one of the oldest tricks. At least I know which **** gets my money, when I choose to pay, but at least some of it goes to taxes, wages before he gets his pennies in profit.

Some imagination you've got there .

You’ll be able to get whatever you want but don’t forget there’s a reason it’s very cheap. I’m not comfortable with it myself because I don’t know where the money ends up.

I go on the principle that if the seller doesn't own the IP themselves I'm not going to pay for it. Game roms, films, sports streams. There are plenty of online resources to get it without dipping into your pocket or exposing personal data or pc to viruses. Not always the most reliable for live sports but at least it is free.

I use adblock or browser already has it built in, so they won't be able to get much ad revenue off the back of my visit.

Just cancelled both, Sky (just TV and sports package) wanted to put it up to £71 per month, after 22 years they said £53 during the call, but fuck them, have something else lined up now.
So having told me it was going up to £71 per month, and I told them "enough was enough", they've now written to me saying they can do it for £33, they're desperate to retain people, I've another 3 weeks before they pull the plug, I wonder how low they'll go ?

Won't matter now, I'm all set up to watch everything I want for less than £7 per month (at least until they go bust because everyone has left).

I pirate loads of stuff. But I'm always really rather unhappy when it involves money. Grew up taping songs off the radio, copying floppy disks, had two VCRs so we could tape-to-tape rental releases.

There's always some money involved. Agfa, BASF and Memorex made bank from blank tape sales. But there was always an understanding that recording from broadcasts was more or less a fair use.

Nowadays, it's a bit more murky. Torrent sites selling accounts and download rights are a personal bugbear. There's little argument for fair use here, because that service can be provided for free. Gets strange when on these 'free' (and illegal) torrent websites, ordinary companies are paying for advertising.

Some IPTV providers will be small backroom techie set ups just making a few quid, but others will be far more organised, cynical and linked to organised crime, scamming people out of life savings, people trafficking, violence and intimidation. Really toxic stuff that destroys people.

I detest Murdoch's cynical use of his hold over what the public see and hear. Then there's the gambling and alcohol firms.

But I don't think buying an IPTV sub really counts as a protest against that.

If we do it, it's because it saves us money. That is the honest choice.
