I recommend sitting on the very edge of an aisle seat, you'll soon drop off.

Brandy and 20mg of diazepam if I'm sat next to BT.

First class. Bed. Evening flight. Sorted.
At £6k that's an expensive fucking sleep and would keep me awake for the other 364 nights of the year worrying about it.
This all your fault. If New Zealand wasn't so f..king far away we wouldn't be having this conversation :)
People in window seats that sleep from the start or close the window must really fuck others off who would like to look outside.A decent pair of noise cancelling headphones with no sound on works very well!
And get a window seat to prop your head against the side.
Business class isn't too bad, at least the seats fold flat and you get a bit more space. Still too noisy though. I use the ear plugs from the little complementary travel bag they give us but even then being a light sleeper it's hard not to wake up if someone sneezes or something. We tend to fly so we take off around 10pm so are naturally tired.
