1989 final ended with a session to spare. Davis 18-3 Parrott. I remember feeling somewhat disappointed after the 1984 and 1985 finals especially.

That last frame was great entertainment. Would of said Jones had a small chance if he won that black ball final but can’t see it now.

It’s an extremely low quality final, but it’s making it watchable. Jones needs to come out firing tonight, win the first three teams and see how Wilson reacts, he’s almost got nothing to lose at this stage.

Well, as Kieran's inlaws, including his wife are all City fans, I really hope he can get over the line. I know everyone likes to see an underdog win, but at the start of the tournament Kieran was an underdog too.

Standard is, but you can’t take your eyes off it as any shot at any time can be missed. That creates tension and a bit of not knowing fully what will happen.

Just come out of there sat right near Kyren's family with my Haaland t shirt on, didn't know about City connection but makes sense now.
Had my lad with me and my Dad who's 91 today, Dad loves his snooker that's why I took him although unfortunately it was only his ashes.

The quality of games was excellent early on but it’s been a bit of a lottery since the QFs. From what I’ve seen of the final Jones has been competitive in most frames but lack of experience has cost him, like the yellow in the last frame last night, just run it in, man.

Seems to tire too. Wins more early frames and then loses the last couple in sessions.


I‘ve enjoyed it not being a potting festival. Safety battles can be epic.

Im no snooker expert, what do they actually mean by tighter pockets? Are they smaller than they usually are?
I was under the impression that snooker tables are made to strict dimensions, is this not the case and they change it up now and again?
