So do the Arsenal fans get away with their behaviour then?

If Adebayor is punished and the Arsenal hooligans get away with it then it really does send a message to all football thugs to cause a riot when the other team scores as their player will be suspended. The FA will make a rod for their own back.

WARNING!!!!

Look away if you are easily scared and offended.Thank you ;o)

is that any worse than Adebayor's? Neville was 100 times more aggressive than Adebayor was!!

I'm sorry but 'provoked' or not provoked in a modern day stadium there behaviour is enexcusible! For them to all riot like they did meant they jumped down seats and ran down the aisles! He got his yellow and it should be the end of...

But considering we play the rags next week I can see further action being taken with immediate effect!

How many times have you seen a player run the full length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the opposition fans - i can't recall any.

Short memories then, a certain Robbie Fowler did it away from home (Everton if I remember right), he ran full length of the pitch celebrating the whole time in front of their fans. It happens now and then.

Adebayor has been punished for his "over reaction", the FA will have to screw Clattenburg if they are to do anything else, and since Clattenburg is one of their favouritre referees I can't see them demoting him. Also on the so called "stamp", if he says he saw it and didn't deem it worthy of punishment, again they're a little stuffed.

I'll bet Clattenburg is a little worried just now, it wasn't one of his better days.

I was absolutely appalled at the amaount of ABUSE that adebayor got off the arsenal fans saturday.

I cheered him on as he ran to celebrate his goal in front of them. If they give it out they've got to take it ... I can't believe the double standards.

I also sta near some arsenal fans on the train home and asked them how much abuse he had while at arsenal ... they were a bit red faced and admitted 'to be honest it was pretty bad' (red faced but unrepentant ..they're actually proud that they hounded him out of the club)

apparently eboue gets worse ... what a club .. what a discrace.

I don't care if Ade gets banned for 6 games .. they had it comming ... and he earned the right to rub their noses in it.

Double standards

you would think that feelings would be running very high during a spurs v arsenal match and that what henry did would cause bad feeling. i bet arsenal fans thought that was great at the time.

their outrage at what ade did is quite hypocritical, they think its ok to do it at spurs though

According to the NOTW he can't receive further punishment for the celebration because it has been dealt with at the time. The thing that worries me is the double jeopardy with the "stamping" incident. I fear the F.A wont miss the opportunity to throw the book at Adebayor to cover every matter.

He probably deserved the yellow for letting the moment get to him, I loved it personally, by that time I was sick to death of Arsenal and their supporters.

There's some mitigation for Adebayor's celebration but what about v. Persie's? What axe to grind has he got with City fans that justifies the hurling of expletives at us when he scored?

The Arsenal fan's who threw objects and hurt the stewards should be identified and banned for life.
