So then...Scudamoes comments about the premier league..

Its makes it sound like he/the PL are more interested in Utd being successful than fair and competitive competiton. Couple that with some of the former referees comments about feeling intimidated by Fergusson then it makes you think how 'fair' the competition has been in the past

Using the WWE as an example is fine when showing how having the Golden Boy, Heel and all these characters plays a significant role in marketing and generating the interest in this entertainment product.

Football is a Sport, but it is also an entertainment product (this is how moneymen involved in the game look at it)
I don't like looking at it this way as to me I've always enjoyed it as a sport, playing it myself and being a supporter of a club.

Many big businesses rely on a product involved in this EPL brand to be successful. From the direct advertising to Flight/Hotel companies that serve the fans who travel from all over the world to England to enjoy this product.

if they aren't enjoying it, they won't use it.

My theory is they will simply switch over to City and start following City, with us becoming the Golden Boy.

it isn't extensively scripted like the WWE like some suggest, but the Rags are favoured (or have been) since the EPL's establishment.

He's right though, world wide plastics won't tune in to see them get beat every week, glory hunters hunt glory not competivness and interest. Why the hell do you think there has been the agenda there for so long. Think about it, Fellini and wellshit get sent off game over, about a billion foreign TV's are un plugged.
Fellaini was lucky to escape a 3 game ban for that despicable elbow on Zab, thankfully they're going to get him for spitting.

But I don't think Welbeck should have been sent off. He just slipped and fell at full throttle.

Says it all that there's not a peep about this story on the main PL broadcasters. He's just dropped himself in it and there should be a full investigation into the relationship between the EPL and PGMOL.

Nothing to see DN, from our point of view, other than 4 domestic trophies in 6 years. I would imagine that someone at the head of an agenda wouldn't want the cross-city rivals of their so called darling being put in the shade like that - especially when one of those trophies was won by knocking them out and the other bringing us a worldwide audience like none ever seen before that. If they didn't want us to win it, they would have ensured that was the case.

The PL have no jurisdiction in FA cups. They cannot control that nor FL related activities.
The fact that a team can win different trophies is irrelevant , great for non agenda theorists but doesn't mean there are agendas about. Maybe they are just in places you don't look.

We have 3 different organisations with a hell of a lot power and wealth, they are wanting what is right for them and them alone. Their inability to work together can be seen in the England team. All other nations have one governing body, one path and one vision. If ours took that step than people would lose their "kudos", their self serving jobs and interests. That is where the agenda lies.
I'm fully aware they are different competitions.

ok good so far, now look at the next bit who controls that?

Thats right the PL. Oh they needed us to win that, in a world in recession a nerve wracking finale on the eve of contrat negotiations would be great. The bank balance soared and money pumped into the PL.

A proper naughty scoundrel would then ask the question. Would fergy stand for that? Well, if he won the league the next season thus ensuring a fantastic sign off into retirement. winning with the worst ever team by a comfortable margin, who knows.........

not that that would happen of course.

You seem to be a nice enough chap, Pidge. But you really should change your name to 'Purple Pidge', 'cos for a Blue there's a helluva lot of red in there.
Explain how there is red in there when what we are talking about is a supposed agenda towards united? We could be talking about Chelsea, Arsenal or Norwich for all I care, but don't make the silly, idiotic mistake of thinking that just because I don't subscribe to the agenda like you and others, it makes me less of a City fan, because that would be really stupid of you and somewhat immature.

-- Fri Mar 28, 2014 2:05 pm --

Ok, so how did they ensure we won it that year then? When Fergie and his troops were 12 points ahead, were they given the message to 'let City win'? Was that why Everton drew 4-4 there? Were we told the opposite, to ensure we win every game to catch them up? Were Newcastle told to make sure under no circumstances that they were to score, and that we were to win? Was Balotelli told to miss his chance in the QPR game, to allow Aguero the moment the entire world, it seemed, watched?

I'd love someone to explain how balancing out a fair competition can be done without making it a less fair competition?
