Premier league is not fixed in any way shape or form however the rags have had way more leniency when it comes to disciplinary issues, players berating referess etc.
Of that there is no doubt and the subsequence of the leniency is for example having certain players available when ultimately they should have been banned...
I present to you the following....

Can't wait for Pidgeons excuse for this one....Ok he gets booked for the second one but its a straight red all day.Intent to hurt the man.
I don't believe for a second that United are deliberately favoured by football's powers, but I've no qualms with your post at all simply because of the man it focuses on.

We've seen referees come out and say they feel somewhat pressured to award decisions United's way because of their fear of Ferguson, but this is something I can sympathise with. I understand it's the referee's job to objectively apply the rules of the game, but not many of us do our jobs in front of 70,000 people (plus the viewing public) every other week and under the eye of a man as powerful as Ferguson. And I'm also sure that some mistakes we've benefited from over the years have come as a result of something other than human error. I think it's the same for most teams - or at least I'd like to believe it's that way. I'm sure with some hard enough searching we could find moments where we should have had players sent off or suspended in the past. I'm not saying it would have been the right decision, but Hart could have been banned by the FA for his tussle with George Boyd, for example.

But what really gets me is the way the referees allow Wayne Rooney to get inside of their heads. That whining, moaning, ungrateful, cheating, wanker who, despite being a fantastic footballer, has handed in two transfer requests, kicked out at opponents, and is currently squeezing £15.6m per-year out of a club he doesn't want to play for, spends more of his game protesting to the referee than he does in possession of the ball. I noticed it more than ever during the derby the other night, but I've been watching him do it for years and years. As soon as any sort of decision is given he turns to the referee, arms outstretched, shouting his head off. No other player in the Premier League does this as much as him and yet some referees still refer to him as "Wazza".

So why does he get away with it? Well, I don't think it's much to do with who he plays for, more who he is. From the moment he stepped onto the pitch to make his debut for Everton, we all knew he'd be the poster boy for English football. Ever since that moment it seems as if even his own attempts at damaging his reputation have been swept under a lovely carpet. Rooney treats the referee in the same way Roy Keane used to, but who's known as the violent thug? Exactly. Rooney is England's golden boy in the same way Jack Wilshere is: his anger and temperament is overlooked. Ronaldo dived on the odd occasion while he was over here but such a huge deal was made about it. Does anyone remember these? Of course you don't:
