Any of you are still stupid enough to think the media don't have an agenda against city
I suggest u look at the headline page after tonight's 'champions ' league draw on
Sky sports football app .

2 story's on l'pool
1 on arsenal
1 on Chelsea
Not 1 headline on the champions city

I don't think that's really evidence of an agenda against City, just the reality that there are currently far more fans of the Rags, Dippers, Tarquins and Rent Boys than us, hence they generate more pageviews and more advertising revenue. 'Fans' of those teams don't want to read about City, unless it's a negative story (especially about us being in trouble/ruining football etc), in which case they do and those stories get promoted.

Not saying that there isn't media bias against City, just that this particular example is more an illustration of how news websites work than anything more sinister.

How many times do the same points have to be made? A media bias that reflects fan numbers to gain more hits / sell more papers is not an agenda against us.

True, I find rather mystifying that some so called City fans, keep insisting that the english media is unbiased and balanced, when all along their pundits spout their idiotic anti City rants, twist facts and accommodate half trues to support their big traditional historic teams agenda.

Are they rags on disguise?

I think people try to give the benefit of the doubt to others if they can. Although the more it continues the more it seems that things are heavily stacked against City. I remember some years ago, big headlines in a local paper. " City thugs on the rampage." Only after reading further down the page did it become clear that it was two sets of supporters, one local, that had met up in the city. l Don't think it is a recent thing, I think some people resent the fact that City are doing so well. I think they think City should know their place and not get ideas above their station. Well done to Martin Samuel. The stronger City become the more others will try to resist. Watch the interview again on the City pages with our chairman, I don't think the owners are going to be losing any sleep. They can see the big picture. Does anybody remember those toys from the seventies "Weebles " egg shaped little people weighted at the bottom so if you pushed them they bounced back. The harder you pushed the harder they bounced back. Think of it like that. " Weebles wobble but they don't fall down." the harder people try to push City down the more resolve they will have. The future is bright, the future is blue. We have been through so much in the past. We have had so much worry. Remember how desperate things seemed, against Gillingham. We came through, lets not forget how far we have come and lets not let others spoil the journey with negativity. Just enjoy, we are in safe hands.

So, no matter how many times we win the title, we will never have the same amount of fans as UTD, Liverpool, Arsenal... We have to sell out basically, can we carry on growing and still maintain integrity , that is the question...?

the brilliant martin article highlighted the obvious issues of the UCL draw , but come on! its is our 4th continuous year of many to come

i really think the seeding and the draws will get better !! stay positive !!

How many times does the same point have to be made. Everyone understands that. The point is that the media as a whole has an agenda to appeal to the fans of certain clubs. That extends to denigrating the rivals of those clubs the biggest of those being City. The fact that this is for understandable economic reasons doesn't make it any less of an agenda.

What vexes people is that this amounts to an unremitting propaganda/publicity campaign in favour of the cartel and against us. At the very least that serves to delay our rise. That we are slowly overcoming that bias is testament to the patience and determination of our leadership.
