is the CL draw coincidence?

look at it in another light what's munich's moscow and roma's take on the draw?
did they agree to go in city's group as part of the agenda?
i mean bayern must be pissed off having to lead the line 3 years out of 4

That's pretty much what I've said on a few occasions but with no reply.

Teams like Bayern Munich are regularly mentioned on here as one of UEFA's "darlings", much like Barcelona, Real Madrid & Man United.

Yet UEFA have handed one of their darlings a bloody hard group, containing the Champions of England and, pretty much, a pot 1 team on paper, and the standout team in Pot 4, Roma. You'd think that the likes of Beckenbauer and Platini would have gone over this over a spot of Garlic Sauerkraut and ensure shit like this wouldn't happen.

It's a calculated gamble, both you and I know that the chances of Bayern finishing third in the group is negligible, they pretty much get to the semi final most years and won the thing the year before that, plus, they don't have the demanding premier league games that we do either side of a big game, and funnily enough when we play Bayern at home we have Chelsea and Arsenal - who do you think that favours?

Every time these type of fixtures are thrown up, the denier put it down to coincidence, bit of rotten luck, once can be explained away two, three, four times I'm sorry it's just further evidence of the agenda if any more were needed.

I reckon you actually believe that, too.

Funny.

Absolutely fucking hilarious.

"Collateral damage". Good fucking grief.

I suppose it was purely down to collateral damage when City were drawn in Real Madrid's group a few years back. You know, another one of UEFA's darlings.
And when we got Barca straight away in the knockout stages"you know uefa's other darlings"...fair enough they went through but they were pretty pissed off they got us..

As per my previous response, if we are to get a difficult group it stands to reason we get one of, Bayern, Real or Barca and guess what that's exactly what we've got.

Platini is paid to be the face of UEFA. He's nothing. The people behind FFPR are in the background.
FFPR is going to benefit us long term.
The CL draw is just as tough or worse considering the quality of their sides, even though some (like Galatasaray) are champions of their league, for all the following teams - Barcelona Paris Ajax Bayern Roma Benfica Zenit Leverkusen Monaco Arsenal Dortmund Galatasaray...why do you only look at our draw and not anyone elses?

It may benefit us in time but it was designed to put the skids on us and it has worked. I don't get the we're all right Jack brigade regarding FFP...it's a travesty for football, imagine being in Villa's,Everton's,Newcastles position now? Football is now geared for a select few to dominate forever more. The agenda began to stop us at all costs and eliminate the rest in the process.

spot on. my exact words the other day to some mates. of course I care about city but I do feel for other clubs.

Certainly agree there is not a level playing field regarding the equality of the number of fixtures each country provides for its champions.
Perhaps some countries also allow their champions to rearrange interfering fixtures to prevent close ties at CL level.

I wonder how much that should affect any of the highly paid athletes though ?

Recent Tour de France viewing made me realise that the competitors work continuously for up to 5 hours on each race day without a break. with meals and liquids being taken in their stride at selected places.
Then, believe it or not they have to do the same the next day with only with only one day a week as a rest day.

Surely our talented players should have enough basic fitness to play 90 mins of each day without a problem are am I misunderstanding the strenuous effort that a game of football takes out of a trained footballer ?

Well if you wise gentlemen think that the UEFA attack on us is illusory it obviously didn't happen and we've got a 25 man squad with no financial restrictions

you do realise we weren't the only ones to be hit with a penalty don't you?
if anything PSG'S was harsher

It probably was and UEFA also handed punishments to seven other clubs who were deemed to have broken the rules: Galatasaray, Bursaspor and Trabzonspor of Turkey; Russia's Zenit St Petersburg, Rubin Kazan and Anzhi Makhachkala; and Levski Sofia of Bulgaria.

I spent just five days posting positive City things and negative United things from the media last week. There were fucking shit loads! (go back to page 182 and have a look through the next five to ten pages after that) and i wasn't even really trying, i was off work and was just putting on here things i'd seen over that day or gone through threads on this site and had a look online to see if there were any positives on that topic. If i did that every day of the year, which i'm not sad enough to do, i'd fill the website with positivity towards us - it's fucking there so open your fucking eyes people! and stop just trawling the internet for ridiculous little things that the oversensitive souls on here thinks makes their argument a worthy one. Some of it is so fucking trivial it's laughable!

The paranoia stretches beyond ridiculous on this website. It's not just in this thread, it's across many threads with people constantly saying things in relation to the world being against our football club. It really does bring down the quality of the forum.

By no means am i saying that there isn't any media bias towards certain clubs but for me it's just trying to pander to their largest supporter bases to maximise their revenue; it is not a agenda against City! Some journos and pundits clearly don't like us but they aren't in a media wide agenda against City. But there's so much decent stuff out there about us! If you're open enough to see it, that is!

so what is platini's game then?
has it held us back?
is the CL draw coincidence?

I said this myself a couple of pages back;

Does UEFA have something against all of these teams?

It makes me laugh the effort that both sides of the agenda debate put into proving their argument.

IMO UEFA don't like the way we've gone about things. They think its bad for football and they consider its there job to put a stop to it. Whether that constitutes an agenda or bias I don't really care but I don't expect any favours from UEFA as a result of how we've gone about building the club.

Draw rigging? Can't see it myself but we're certainly due a friendly draw in Europe st some stage.

Media agenda? I think it all depends on how you define agenda. I think theres a clear bias, and I think large sections of the press are prepared to talk about us in a way they wouldnt dare if it was one of the Sky 4.

I think its improving, and I think as journo's slowly learn what the club is about the coverage will improve further.

they might think like that but the rules apply to all not just us.
the basic premise of not spending beyond your means is ok, but as we all know normal business isn't like that.
many invest with money they have not got but have a sound business plan to pay back the money and eventually run into profit.
