I've had a few arguments with non City fans about media bias against City. A couple of times after a few pints I might even have used the "A" word.

But joining the Bluemoon Agenda-ists would seem like joining a cult that might also require me to declare that I believed the moon landings were faked, Elvis is still alive and Phil killed Di. Its just way too extreme. The constant search to find anti City bias in every press story, even adverts, must be extremely draining. As must be the constant need to perform 180 degree changes in opinion. "The CL draw is fixed against City" so they announce proposals to change the draw. "The changes to the CL draw are fixed against City". I just don't have the energy to become an Agenda-ist.

i dont think it needs a "constant search" its there staring us in the face. see the advert in the post above mine.

Just looked at our talksport predictor league. Out of twenty odd teams, only the team's with a ushited badge next to their names have been processed. So now, anyone supporting another team are below all ushited fans in the table. That's what I call a sky agenda.

..and here's the pic from their predictor page.

So now Selco are in on it too........

I spent just five days posting positive City things and negative United things from the media last week. There were fucking shit loads! (go back to page 182 and have a look through the next five to ten pages after that) and i wasn't even really trying, i was off work and was just putting on here things i'd seen over that day or gone through threads on this site and had a look online to see if there were any positives on that topic. If i did that every day of the year, which i'm not sad enough to do, i'd fill the website with positivity towards us - it's fucking there so open your fucking eyes people! and stop just trawling the internet for ridiculous little things that the oversensitive souls on here thinks makes their argument a worthy one. Some of it is so fucking trivial it's laughable!

The paranoia stretches beyond ridiculous on this website. It's not just in this thread, it's across many threads with people constantly saying things in relation to the world being against our football club. It really does bring down the quality of the forum.

By no means am i saying that there isn't any media bias towards certain clubs but for me it's just trying to pander to their largest supporter bases to maximise their revenue; it is not a agenda against City! Some journos and pundits clearly don't like us but they aren't in a media wide agenda against City. But there's so much decent stuff out there about us! If you're open enough to see it, that is!

Your last paragraph shows you haven't understood the debate that has been going on all summer on this thread.
To summarise , the media will put out negative stories about City in order to pander to the larger supporter bases of our rivals. Also those rivals will receive more favourable coverage in areas where our coverage would be negative ( take the Rags latest spending spree for instance).
There is also the inbuilt prejudice of the English media in favour of those clubs with English players, managers or owners (British is second best, American acceptable). We score badly here. There are many examples, also referred to on this thread.
Then we have FFP. Many aspects to this, but one question to you - why wasn't this introduced at the time of Chelsea's initial spending spree ? ( thank God it wasn't by the way!).

Platini is paid to be the face of UEFA. He's nothing. The people behind FFPR are in the background.
FFPR is going to benefit us long term.
The CL draw is just as tough or worse considering the quality of their sides, even though some (like Galatasaray) are champions of their league, for all the following teams - Barcelona Paris Ajax Bayern Roma Benfica Zenit Leverkusen Monaco Arsenal Dortmund Galatasaray...why do you only look at our draw and not anyone elses?

It may benefit us in time but it was designed to put the skids on us and it has worked. I don't get the we're all right Jack brigade regarding FFP...it's a travesty for football, imagine being in Villa's,Everton's,Newcastles position now? Football is now geared for a select few to dominate forever more. The agenda began to stop us at all costs and eliminate the rest in the process.

I have understood it, i'm just not convinced by it.

I have said before, i don't know whether FFPR was put in at the time it was just purely as a co-incidence of our money coming in. And even if it wasn't, for me, it isn't aimed at bringing down Manchester City Football Club. What damage can one club do? At a push our club as an individual can make one other individual club drop out of a elite top 12-16. We aren't a threat to all 12-16 clubs! So how can it have been aimed solely at MCFC? It isn't just about us. Besides, after this Summer FFPR is going to make us a better club all round and will not affect us ongoing anyway. So this, or next, year we are going to push ourselves into that elite top 12-16.

I think there are a few good aspects to FFPR, but i do not agree with it as a whole. It is terrible for clubs like Everton Bilbao Shalke Fiorentina Spurs. For us, it's going to keep us one of the elite. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2724617/MARTIN-SAMUEL-DEBATE-You-ll-never-Manchester-United-Chelsea-FFP-destroyed-competition-hopes.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... hopes.html</a> - like Samuel says there.

I actually don't want that to be the case. There'd be nowt better, for me, than to see West Ham with their new stadium, attract some real big investment and push to be the new big club. It won't happen due to FFPR. That's not fair.

They saw us walking down the drive and they raced to slam the front door shut. Luckily we manged to get a foot in it before they got the chain on.
Unluckily for the rest, the door, gate and street are now cordoned off.

Be interested in what Wenger has to say on the scum spending spree bet the media can't wait to ask him the question!!
