The BBC do an article about the loan system and have to lump City in with Chelsea (who have 23 players on loan)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29280337

City have only 3 senior (21+ age group) players on loan - Micah Richards, John Gudetti and Karim Rekik as all other loans are EDS lads i.e. just out to get competitive league experience because there are no reserve teams anymore i.e. Denayer, Lopes, Cole, Zuculini, Drury, Leigh, Plummer, Rusnak, O'Brien, Johansen etc. and to be honest I think we should have not got Lampard on loan until Jan but kept Zuculini and used him as backup. Thus a max of 13 players on loan and 10 of these from the EDS.

We surely cannot be accused of abusing the system, in the same way\extent Chelsea are and have done, and yet again we get labelled alongside a negative story.

Negredo is not a loan but a sale (simply a delayed payment until next summer), and even Richards the club really wanted to sell and get a fee for but Italian clubs seem to want to get everything on the cheap.

Utd have the following on loan:

Hernandez (Real Madrid)
Cleverley (Aston Villa)
Zaha (Crystal Palace)
Powell (Leicester)
Nani (Sporting Lisbon)
Henriquez (Dinamo Zagreb)
Keane (Burnley)
Varela (Real Madrid)

and of course have Falcao on loan themselves from Monaco

but lets not highlight them by putting them into a graphic to show abuse of the football loan system. Lets just lump in City with Chelsea for that purpose and show a team made up from their loans.

Isn't the article mainly city/Chelsea related because we play eachother today?
Just a thought.

No, it's about 'Chelsea and the madness of the loan game' It's the usual 'City bashing' by including them for Negredo, Micah and Guidetti when them twats in Stretford have loaned out recent England internationals Zinedine Cleverley and Zaha to PREMIERSHIP CLUBS.
They've even tried to add credence to it by mentioning Lampard. He has NO Chelsea connections now and who we loan him from doesn't matter... although they have mentioned Falcao's loan down near the bottom of the article.
Believe what you want to believe.
Stevie Wonder can see there is an agenda.

They just dont stop coming. Its actually becoming laughable.

Some would find it extraordinary that a club that has been hamstrung in the transfer market would spend £32m on a defender and then not play him. That is, however, what City have done with their marquee signing, Eliaquim Mangala, who has not played a competitive match since finishing his season at Porto in May.

Partly because of FFP, which hastened the sale of an injured Alvaro Negredo, and injuries to Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko, Pellegrini will face Jose Mourinho, a man he has little time for, with just one fit striker.

Which imaginary injury to Edin is that then?

Didnt Pellegrini say that he picked up a back injury at Bayern?

The article contains a perfectly clear explanation why Mangala hasnt played yet. I think it might be the journo that is a bit puzzled, not Pellegrini.

Why have the journos been banging this drum of Mangala all week?

Anyone would think they are orchestrating a campaign for him to be thrown in at the deep end today? I wonder who would be behind that?

Further puzzlement of why the journalist is obsessed with City/Mangala and not reporting why Shaw isn't turning out for the rags in spite of him being the most expensive English full back ever.

When was the last time (in fact it might be a first) we had a City article that was mainly 'puffery'! An article to 'please' the City fans! We won't get one, ever, 'cos the meedya is infested with Rag and Dipper scrotes. They see it as their life's work to puff up MANUre and LFC and to denigrate the likes of City and CFC 'cos we have money we haven't earned! We are pariahs!!
