There is a difference between "agenda" and "bias". In simple terms an agenda is more deliberate and coordinated.

Most posters agree there is a pro-rag/dipper bias. A major factor seems to be the number of hacks and pundits growing up in an era when those two were the most successful clubs.

I still believe City get less favourable treatment because of the noticeable "establishment" bias rather than any concerted campaign against us.

Things shift. Last year saw one or two journos emboldened as the Moyes comedy unfurled and the Piss Can could no longer threaten fatwa. They dared to query some of the club's strategic decisions and omissions. Then they flipped into "Giggs is a god" and "Van Gaal is the messiah" mode. So far only a blip then but the long term trend is clear. In ten years time we will be part of the establishment and one of two of the current members will be moaning about an agenda against them.

ffp is not bias. its a full blown agenda.

I was referring to the so-called media agenda. Re FFP, we are in agreement. Up against a cartel of vested interests there and there is most definitely collusion.

The likes of Twatini and the 'regulars' in the CL pot shareout will have been more than concerned at the influx of 'foreign' money going into teams that traditionally have not been 'regulars'! Clubs like MANUre and Bavarian MANUre will have been frightened to death that their days in the CL will be in jeopardy (MANUre can withstand ONE season out?) and that Uefa will be no more than a sideshow pulling microwaved balls out of a pot in order to maintain as much of the status quo as they can!

Real Madrid are part of that CL elite, yet in recent years they've been put in groups with Juventus Galatasaray and Copenhagen, us Dortmund and Ajax. München were put in with us Napoli and Villarreal a few years back. Arsenal's group last year was with Dortmund Napoli and Marseille.

Did they not have the microwave on a high enough power?

are we expecting a yellow ticker tape on sky sports news this morning as we have negative news on the beast with his injury

Major fest articles on Van Gaal's appointment in yesterday's Sunday Times and today's Mirror.
Don't remember Uncle Pellers getting the same coverage this time last season.
In fact he got no praise for winning the Prem/League Cup Double. I would imagine the media would go into overdrive if Van Gaal achieved that next season (hopefully not).

A bit like sponsorship money for shirts I suppose.

Whether we like it or not there are more MUFC supporters in the UK than City ones so the newspaper media panders to its biggest potential readership by writing about them.

''Never let the truth get in the way of a good story'' is their motto and this maxim is not confined to just newspapers. They are in the business of selling papers and Sky subs. not being fair in their presentation.

Keep calm and carry on winning, they'll all be forced into awarding us our deserved praise eventually. If you ever needed any evidence of the press hatred then voting Gerrard ahead of Yaya was the most ridiculous thing I've heard!

Because we sacked Mancini, ran his name through the mud and replaced him with a manager who, at the time, had won nothing for ten years. There was bound to be some talk.

There's a sense around United that things can't get worse. They're replacing Moyes with a proven manager and they're signing some of the best young players around at the moment. I think you can give them the benefit of the doubt for the optimism surrounding their coverage.
