You have got to love the Daily Mail. Notice the first line of the report:

Patrick Vieira's so-called Elite Development Squad .....

Its not the so called EDS that's their name, like it or not. Mr so called Daily Mail reporter !

This doesn't deserve to get lost in pages of agenda argy-bargy. This is just unbelievable!

and yet there are some that think its a coincidence.

It's been called the Elite Development Squad for about 4 years now. Another snide and hateful comment by the Mail.

I love this thread, proper knickers in a twist stuff. My taking on the so called elite development squad comment, isnt anything to do with City, but more towards the little Englander resisting any sort of change attitude the mail is famous for. For me its an attitude of, it was called under 21s before and it should be so now, the mail doesnt do change very well. Although its good to know the agenda mob are in full flow, tin foil helmets to the fore. Carry on, as i say i love it, keep those cockroaches honest ladies and gentlemen.

^^What Left Knee said^^

I'd just like to add that I'm not saying there's 'NO' agenda, I just see it as people in general are resistant to change unless something is seriously amiss. Only last season we saw how the media fawned over the Dippers and practically crowned them champions with 8 games to go, I didn't see it as an attack on City, for me it was more the sentimental outpourings of the bitter old guard longing for a return to the past.

My youngest tickled me last season when he asked with a puzzled look on his face, 'Dad, in the olden days did Liverpool used to be good'? My response was, 'Firstly why are you asking me about the olden days as if I was born when the world was viewed in black and white? Then I proceeded to explain to him just how good Liverpool used to be and he just stood there looking perplexed as if he was waiting for me to burst out laughing and saying 'I had you going there'.

My point is, Liverpool's past glories will continue to fade with every passing year and will be mentioned less and less as my son's generation turn from being pocket money grabbing leeches into the mover's, shakers and decision makers of this world. It's just a matter of time before the old guard are just a faded memory and to be honest, I can't be arsed about their bitter diatribe towards us because I'm waaaaay too busy enjoying the 20-teens version of Manchester City. After what I've endured over the years, there's no way I'll allow any of them to spoil that............ I've waited too long.
