Thought that happened last yearmrbelfry said:If we do win it then it will only be because the greatest team the PL has ever seen contrived to throw it away. It also won't count due to the lack of 12 year olds from Beswick in the first team squad

This thread is in overdrive, where even positive City articles are analysed to the nth degree until someone finds a negative. The Talkshite thread has people detailing every single last utterance from the dire presenters, when even the most intellectually challenged must know that they are constantly on the wind up. There's even a Bayern Munich thread with bitterness and bile all over it about tonight's game and how Bayern are out to get us.
Now I've posted some nonsense on a couple of the threads, but some of it in jest. However, there is a growing number of posters who actually believe everyone is out to get us.
No - if we lose City will have singlehandledly reduced England's coefficient and therefore lost us a CL place in 2019BigJoe#1 said:BBC Website... Has a little more support crept into the national infrastructure.
16:41 Give Man City your backing?
"As champions of England, Manchester City deserve the backing of the nation when they face AS Roma in the Stadio Olimpico aiming to secure the result to take the club into the Champions League knock-out stages," writes Mark Ogden in the Daily Telegraph.
"For one night only, City should be the country's team because losing two Premier League clubs from the Champions League in the space of 24 hours would suit nobody connected to English football.
"City following Liverpool out of the Champions League would simply be bad for business for the Premier League and a sign that English football is losing touch with La Liga and the Bundesliga when it comes to competing for the major European honours."
Rodgers is getting quite a bit of stick right now. He needs a result v The Filth this week.City1974 said:Wait for the usual bile from the media tomorrow if we go out of the Champions League tonight, insisting Pellegrini will be sacked at the end of the season, even before we know how the season may actually finish, and even if we went on then to win the League and\or FA Cup.
Meanwhile if Utd fail to win anything this season after spending £ 150 million of course thats ok as they are in transition and Van Gaal is a genius.
Similarly with Liverpool and Rodgers as they had such a good season last season and he deserves more time.
