They are still in denial that all good things come to an end and it is there time to step aside, just like city did in the late 70's.

Let them mock and laugh but WE will have the last laugh...
We've been saying that since the takeover and it still hasn't happened. Sure, last season was a terrible one for United, but they aren't just going to fade into nothing. Last season may yet be the best thing to happen to United in the long-term: it exposed their ageing squad (Giggs, Evra, Vidic and Ferdinand are all gone now), it made an example of their deadwood (Anderson, Cleverley, Young) and also showed that Ferguson should stay out of managerial appointments from now on.

The rebuild they're embarking on will take time, but they're not just going to "step aside". Say they get hold of Vidal this summer - is that United stepping aside? I don't think so. Even without Vidal they've still got a squad together which is slightly better than Arsenal, Everton and, if they go far in Europe, Liverpool too. They're not going to win the title this year, or even for the next three years, but this is the most optimistic United have been for some time. During the end of Ferguson's reign they were winning things but were fearful of what post-Ferguson would bring, and Moyes confirmed those fears.

At least with Van Gaal there's a sense that things can't go as terribly as they did last season. They've got two potentially brilliant youngsters in their side (Shaw, Januzaj), they still have one of the best forward lines in the Premier League, and if they can sort out their lack of depth at the back they should be good to go. They'll need another year for the likes of Fletcher, Cleverley and Anderson to be replaced, and it seems that Jones and Smalling aren't ever fit enough to get a run in the side, but these aren't ingredients for a team willing to "step aside".

It's wishful thinking if you think United are going anywhere. Personally I relish the challenge they're going to bring this season, we're going to beat them in both derby matches again but it won't be as easy for sides like Liverpool, Everton & Chelsea to take 4 and 6 points off them again. United are a new player again, they're not stepping aside. United haven't done stepping aside for 20 years.
impatience dear friend. I'm with that quote all the way for the long term. it will take time but it will happen. It takes a while for a tanker to turn !

If you're attaching that much weight to the opinions of the posters on there then in my opinion yes.
Don't the opinions of Red Cafe posters have the same weight as the opinions of posters on here?

Not to us, it is part of the banter isn't it, they slag us and we slag them.
It is the natural order of things.

On that link to ragcafe in fairness there are a few rags on there who have praised City for taking off the team in that recent racist incident.

One or two still ignorant but they would have those opinions regardless of football.

The only stick they seem to beat us with is that they are a "bigger" club worldwide.
I'm not going to argue with this, I will however give them this:

Frozen and Titanic are two of the highest grossing films of all time. so so popular these movies.
so so many people have watched these films.

Yet it doesn't make these films the best....

Also impressed with our transfer dealings and with the engineer.

Just to let you know, you're all being ripped to pieces on here:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.redcafe.net/threads/bluemoon-goes-into-meltdown.287034/page-140" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.redcafe.net/threads/bluemoon ... 4/page-140</a>
Blue - can I assume you are the media apologist I asked for ? If so thank you for coming on so I can have an argument (sorry reasoned debate) with another member.
So I've read the shit from the Rag cafe on the link you posted - it really says nothing other than they think we are not and never will be as big a club as them and therefore don't deserve the favourable propaganda they get in the media.
You always tend to talk in general terms regarding perceived bias in the media. Can I ask to comment specifically on the photo today in the Mail and articles in the Mirror. What is your view on these? Do you consider them balanced and fair reporting? I await your reply with keen anticipation.
What picture?
About ten posts up and obvious if you could have been bothered looking, showing four challengers for next season's title - Arse,Dippers,Scum and Chavs and a team holding aloft the Premier League trophy which one would have expected to be us but happened to be Chavs from a few seasons ago.
Look I can see you're not a man for details preferring instead big picture, blue sky arguments , but thank you for getting involved in the debate.

Could have just posted the picture instead of being a MASSIVE PRICK but whatever.

I do think the picture's a bit unusual, but the article seems to be more about transfer activity than anything else and, as far as the rest of the world is concerned, we've not really made many big deals worthy of being up on that picture. Plus, we get a fair report further down the page and some good praise in the bullet points just under the main headline.

Although, I'm not sure what The Mail would gain from leaving us out of the picture on purpose.

Haha, some fella so insecure about "being ripped to pieces" on a fucking United forum. Do you not get it yet? People slag off United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool on here, they all slag us off on their own respective (or not in RAWK's case) forum. Why would you go on and read/get upset about it? There are idiots on all forums that will jump on the first thing they can find to slag a club off.

Thanks for the compliment. I have received similar praise regarding the size of my male member from various female admirers in my youth. Thanks for reminding me.

I'm not normally an apologist for Rag Cafe but one post there hit the nail on the head. With FFP our player investment has been slowed right down whereas they are profitable enough to spend big on rebuilding. That's even with the Glazier leeches sucking out their share.

Fortunately they are far enough behind us in squad quality for that not to be crucial at the present time.

The Glazier leeches sucking out their share. They will keep sucking and long may it continue.

Worried?? You bet they are.
Re the agenda..clearly there but the fail never ceases to amaze me.

Siege mentality for me. We arent going anywhere.

I'm watching Big Brother as I usually do between football seasons and they have just had a task where there's two teams red team v blue team. Big brother have rigged it so only the red team can win and the blue team lose. Agenda ballbags

Are you going to respond to any of the points I made considering you tried so hard to provoke them out of me?

Surely you can't blame him for answering the part of your post that was directly aimed at him in BOLD CAPS

Of course I can't - I wanted him to reply to that.

But I also wanted him to reply to the rest of it, since he wanted my thoughts on that Mail picture in the first place.

If you want someone to reply to a serious point you've made, it's probably not the best idea to call them a massive prick in bold capital letters. It sort of distracts from the points you're trying to make.
