agreed but in terms of an agenda?
maybe george can tell us.
ah well, I suppose it might be a little clearer when we drop some points instead of winning comfortably away against quality opposition.
Anyway this morning I thought I 'd look up the BBC teletext report of our table topping performance -

teletext_zpsc0315500.jpg

ah well - but I suppose if we'd lost badly at home against relegation fodder and our swampy friends had won on the road with a superbly professional performance we might have made the page.

you can't cherry pick george, we were the first port of call on sky sports news when i watched last night
paranoia is starting to get the better of you
my agenda cherry basket is overflowing where as yours has just got a few squashed ones in the bottom - probably gooseberries anyway

at least you are consistent george i'll give you that.
first you start with a unsubstantiated non provable belief.
then try and back it up with something from the net.
then finally end up with spurious analogies.

might be time for a new thread in cellar.....

Looking at the last few posts it seems a few of the 'leaders' on this forum have got what they wanted, and the followers now do their bidding. Free your minds kids, read up on McCarthyism and don't let a few ringleaders get you into a spin trying to find something that does not exist.

Its quite amusing on some levels, but I worry if this is how it started in Liverpool?

Real games to report now so the the make believe hyping of MUFC in particular of the close season has, as expected, been dropped.

The business of selling papers must still go on so even the most ardent MUFC supporter would not buy a paper that claimed current team is a capable one so transfer news predominates.

Well if you can't rely on the local rag to put the positive messages then we really are screwed! I notice the agenda deniers seem thin on the ground in posting national media positive articles.

Main back page headline in the Daily Star: Pellegrini: We can win the treble!

That took me 30 seconds to find. Infact on the same page, there's a little section describing how nobody fears Manchester United.

Main back page headline in The Sun: United in Turmoil!

That was a further 15 seconds. Next to that story is "Silva & Co are pure gold".

"Ooh those nasty media fuckers, slagging us off again whilst continuing to portray United as the best team in the world".

The Loons want to have the whole of the back page of every paper, headline on sky news, yellow bar of breaking news on sky sports, bbc top of the hour & even CNN & FOX news to tell everyone we won yesterday.

Anyone else notice that at the end credits of MOTD 2 last night (Sunday 17th) the Premier League trophy still wore the red and black colours of United?

No agenda, just lazy broadcasting from the BBC. Just like their pundit recruitment policy.

What the fuck are you talking about? I haven't posted since last night.

Stop being such an Antediluvian rapscallion. It confuses your followers Gordon.

I'm a 'dyed in the wool' Agendista, but I think it's only fair that in the interest of balance examples of positive media coverage in the national (not local ) media should be posted.
In yesterday's Sunday Mirror there was a very good (albeit small) article by Ian Holloway about how City are quietly going about our business, did not get the praise we deserved for last season's Premier win and must be sick to death of the Liverpool love in.
We are currently getting favourable review on H&J on Talksport regarding our win at Newcastle. Amongst other favourable comments, the Chelsea fan (Jacobs?) reckoned our attacking options are better than Chelsea's even with their addition of Costa.

Pigeono, if he happens to fly past, might suggest these are co-incidentally Sky's own colours (which of course they aren't)

Top article on the City pages of the Daily Mail is:

Phil Jones one of two Man United players to get above 20mph against Swansea, Gareth Barry looks set for century of bookings while West Ham are less direct

You do realise that links to a 'ten thing' article - one which has a negative point about United, a positive one about City, and no mention of Liverpool or Arsenal.

Yet you see anti-City bias?

I am agend-nostic, and as a Yank where our prints tend to be a bit more subtle in their favoritism or lack thereof (when it comes to sport, not politics), I find this thread quite enjoyable, but not an emotional wrangle.

That said, here's the line-up last night on ESPNFC's near-daily footy highlight and discussion show:

1. Liverpool/Soton highlights
2. A very long "What's wrong with Utd?" discussion (which I enjoyed)
3. Commerical
4. PSG/Bastia highlights / headbutt discussion
5. Bordeaux/Monaco highlights
6. Commerical
7-14. MLS match highlights
15. Commercial
16. Club America/Morelia highlights
17. Monterrey/Cruz Azul highlights
18. Commercial
19. 15 seconds on City/Toon

Maybe if they ignore us, we'll just go away, eh?

So, what was wrong with Utd?

I'm just not sure why it was the top article on the City page. I never said it was anti City bias.
