argentina for me. i'd love to see pab zab and sergio come home with winners medals.
overall i think holland have been the best team in it so far.

Belgium were always my dark horses, I still think they're a bit too naive to go all the way, however, the iconic status vinny already embodies here, would be multiplied the world over, he would be revered as a world 'great', something he deserves for his constant professionalism.....

Still think the argies though, winning whilst playing poorly is a great habit, they'll motor at the right stages imo!!

Definitely Argentina for me. Zabba and Sergio and MDM to get medals. Although would love Vinnie as a captain to win as well.

Even though Holland are still in it, I find it hard to warm to this team. Obviously being Dutch I support them, but it's totaly different than for exemple a prematch build up when City plays. No nerves, no excitement, just the odd cheer when they score. I skip pre- and postmatch comments as it has too many rag-ingredients in it. It was to be expected after Van Gaal became their new manager.

Anyways, lots of great games to look foreward to with Brasil-Colombia standing out and Germany-France another looking good on paper. Argentina vs Belgium is interesting because of all the City-players involved and I expect Holland to get in to the semi's. Than they will play either Argentina or Belgium i.e. Zab/Aguero/MDM or Komps ... Still expect at least one South-American team in the final to win it.

Anyone — literally anyone — except Germany or France, please. I am normally well disposed towards France but the absolute crap that has been endlessly talked about them in the French press and media has turned me right against them. Excepting teams with City players in them, it would be wonderful if Colombia or Costa Rica won it, just for the fresh air. Not going to happen, though.

Does anyone know what tv channel the France v Germany game is on, it's the Friday 17:00 kick off but it's not showing on any channel, tho my virgin TV guide might just be playing up, Brazil is showing On both itv and bbc Friday night, and the other two games on the Saturday evening and night, would be a bit strange not showing one of the quarters when every other WC game has been shown, it's just says that Wimbledon is on most of the day on the Friday...

I wanted brazil to win,but seeing their abysmal performances may be columbia or il be happy with any one winning it except for holland..

Would have to disagree with your first 2 though they should all be cracking games and I expect at least a couple to go all the way so with that said due to experience with pens I expect Brasil, Germany, Holland and the Argies to progress.

Should be great viewing either way ;-]

It is nice to see three of the teams who could win the world cup with a City connection,something we could have only dreamt of years ago.On that basis i will say any team but the Germans,Holland do have De Jong who played for us as well.
