So why suddenly do they talk about Aguero leaving?

how Sterling is in the team ahead of Sergio makes me sick!

Such an unusual statement.

We cant put all our eggs in one basket i.e 19yr old GJ. We need depth, world class depth. If Sergio leaves I'll be gutted!

Don't think anyone on here disagrees with that, nor Pep I'd imagine.

The problem is that Kun likely isn't happy with just being "depth", nor should he be, and it's not good for the team (or our chances of winning) to break up an on-form strike partnership.

Two games is all it has taken for people to start buying in to the media narrative on this issue. Imagine if it takes another two or more games for Sane-Jesus-Sterling to hit a dip in form and Aguero to start scoring routinely again?

Meanwhile people on here are caught between their love and appreciation for Kun and the reality that no player is bigger than the club and the club simply can't afford to drop any more points this season.

If Pep gets rid of Aguero then that will be his 2nd big mistake. First one being buying Bravo and pushing Hart out

Pep will never "get rid" of Aguero. No manager would get rid of Aguero, even if they have him starting off the bench more often than not. Aguero may, however, want to leave and that's what is ultimately being speculated on.

Also, I think it would be preferable for all if we kept the "pushing out Hart" historical revisionism to it's respective thread.

I want him to stay. He's one of the best strikers in the world.

But if we got a huge fee and invested some of it in a younger up and coming Aguero then it wouldn't be the end of the world. He's not going to get any younger or quicker.

Wouldn't mind a striker that would give us aerial options.

But my Number One option is Keep Aguero.

Pretty sure we won't go into 2017-18 with just Jesus as a striker.

Expect to see both on the pitch tonight. But with Pep, who knows?

We got a rejuvenated Yaya back, and Aguero looked pretty sharp to me when he came on against Swansea. Possibly all part of getting the best out of him.

Square pegs, round holes. If it doesn't fit, you can't force it. People need to realise this.

Then you get the sandpaper out and smooth out the corners. If it still doesn't fit, or more precisely doesn't want to fit then there are few options. I would think most PL managers, particularly those we still have to play, and the players they put in the team to defend will be thanking their lucky stars that Sergio is starting on the bench or not even on the team sheet. There must be something that PG has in the pipeline in order for him to consider selling a goal machine. My impression is that Sergio is a bit laid back about much of his football until he gets onto the pitch but if he's not on the pitch there are many top clubs who would be after him

Just as the people who are claiming that Aguero no longer fits the system need to realise that not everyone thinks that's the case.
Some of us believe a player of his quality has what it takes to tweak his game and become the player Pep wants him to be - or are at least willing to give him the time to adapt. I appreciate patience is in short supply with many of our fanbase these days but I think there are exceptions who require some and Sergio is most definitely in that category.

Aguero should be loving a challenge like this. To say he doesnt fit the system currently is fair enough, but he is a world class player and will be able to adapt

He will get his chance at some point and its quite possible that he will make himself undropable by embarking on one of his goalscoring sprees.

At the moment the vibes dont sound good, but if Yaya can redeem himself, so can Aguero.
