When you see how much Chelsea's CL success was worth to them financially, it becomes obvious what the very first objective must be. Start performing in Europe.
Yep. And a name or two that travels around the world wouldn't go amiss either. To increase corporate, sponsorship and match day revenue we need a higher profile.

Here's my blueprint for the future:

Replace Mancini with mourinho
Bring in ronaldo
Sell nasri, Tevez, Milner, Maicon, Garcia, kolorov and probably lescott and Milner.

Replace those players with pacier, younger players who can pass the ball. Obviously the best we can get.

Sit back, expand the stadium and light the blue touch paper ;-)
Why sell Milner twice when Barry is older and slower than him?
I'd keep Barry without question. His game is not pace based so he can do what he does for five more years. A wonderful player. He might play less in my 'new' city, but he'd be an integral part of it.

I like Milner as well and I wouldn't be averse to him staying in a squad capacity. But I'm trying to build Jose a quicker, more 'total football' squad so that's why jimmy didn't quite make the cut ;-)

It's called 'too much football manager'.

It's a forum for discussion, either provide a constructive useful comment or don't bother

DD has offered his opinion and it's a damn fair opinion - if you don't like it, move onto the next topic.

The topic is about what we may perceive the bosses may be upto and what measures of success they're after

My opinion is I agree with more or less all of DD's bar Milner

I'll agree with all of the above but surely we can't sell Milner twice can we? :)

I wouldn't even sell him once.

Jesus Christ. This football manager stuff really fucks me off, you lazy bastard. If there's something you don't agree with, come up with a criticism don't just roll out that tedious bollocks.
Because this is exactly how Dave comes up with his ideas. His posts do not deviate from Mancini out. That's it. That's ALL he does.

And yet you have the temerity to call me a lazy bastard rolling out tedious bollocks? Read Daves posts and you will see your critique of me is far more applicable to him.

Maybe this is how we beat FFPR
Buy a player and sell him twice in two years time. I wonder if this is PSG's plan

Basically get City like Barcelona - a team that is full of word class players, most of which are from the academy. Emphasis on the youth academy though - I want children to grow up playing the 'City way'. Install a culture like how Barca have done with La Masia. It will take years though, but it will be worth it. Maybe one day City could have 11 players who are all academy graduates like Barca did earlier this season.

I told you. Sell him to Chelsea with a 25% sell on clause. Job done ;-)
