Sorry, Not Sorry...

It's not just a Family Stand problem though. There's a group of us in there with our lads and there are very rarely any empty seats/non-attendees around us. However, there are non-attendees all around the ground at any given game. This is also exaggerated by the 'doubling up' in the singing sections, leaving empty seats elsewhere.

As a previous poster has stated, we were quite happy where we were sat previously, with junior seats the same cost throughout the stadium. We were priced out and the club enforced our move to the Family Stand.

Does anyone leave there kids in the family stand then move to be with "mates" and double up to be in with other singers.Just asking.

-- Thu Apr 04, 2013 10:21 am --

Shouldn't scrap it all together....They should however halve it and move the Family stand next to the away fans (South stand) this would keep the away fans nice and quiet next to the family's with more concern about getting 4G connections to update their Farmville.

Create a Dortmund style Kop end where the Family's are now, all Safe Standing :)

Cock of a suggestion this week goes to.........Ste.

Ste why would any team who had a choice, put 4-10 year old kids next to a bunch of snarling fans, that would only put them off and devastate potential you and me's. The ground could be empty in 10 years.
Hey and guess what if it didn't put those little kids off, then those bright eyed kids might think "you know what, I love the atmosphere of those newcastle fans", which could happen as you lot are as quiet as fook and only sing about four songs a match, no I'm sorry ste but your idea to house our singing section in the family wouldn't make NO difference to the atmophere, it would still be quieter than a conversation between carlos tevez and his insurance company....

Next time get sober first and have a think.....!!! School boy error Stephen, school boy error.

When my middle lad turns 16 in two years we are moving to 211 hopefully
Great idea mate, heres one though which will run out first family seats or rest of the ground . Are there more turning 16 that have to move from the family stand than people giving up seats or the other way round. For every kid that has to move an adult goes with them

I don't mind sitting on someone's knee as long as its a balcony seat. Maybe we will have expanded by then anyway

"you lot are as quiet as fuck"

To take a quote from all of that Pete.
So you don't include yourself when talking about our support?????

And maybe the kids should be kept far away from you as possible with that kind of language ;)

Seriously though Pete, can you really see a fat middleaged bald man with the Tyne bridge tattooed on his belly snarling at little Jenny, her brother Jimmy and her come lately father Johnny?

It would dampen the away support greater than any chastising has ever done.

It's all fine and dandy creating more support in children but what happens when they reach 18 and can no longer afford the extortionate prices?

A safe standing area with economic conscious pricing would be more effective in generating atmosphere and being more inclusive to the general public.

Finally... have a listen on Fifa xbox/psn online and you'll hear some of the vulgar language that already comes from these kids mouths....

Ridiculous Idea. Why move kids next to the away fans? The majority of away fans won't even realise that the kids are there and will carry on with their foul language and behaviour. Make the family stand smaller but keep in the same place. Possibly even have seperate areas which are kids 0-6, then kids 6-11, then 11-16.

Family stand is ok when your kids are about 6 years old but my eldest lad is now 11 and he hates it (and so do I).

He doesnt get the buzz that I used to get on the Kippax when I was his age in the 70's

No problem whatsoever where we sit,all the kids have grew up together as city fans,it's always noisy where we are 238-239 we are the north stand,if you don't like it in there get out.

The age restrictive idea would be an administration nightmare, moving seats every season to a newer section, plus this would dampen atmosphere even more as its shown that people are more likely to sing when they are around friends not strangers.

Whether the kids stay where they are or not, we need an affordable safe standing area in the stadium... the demand for this is has been consistent for a good few seasons now and I'm %100 sure if we had a safe standing area it would be the
area quickest to be sold out... demand would exceed supply.

I actually think the family stand is a good idea. My concern is will these kids continue their support of City when they are working in Tesco stacking shelves ( with no minimum wage ) struggling to fund a University degree....

I went to buy the ticket next to my seat for the upcoming West game match. City wanted £42

They can do one at that price when people are paying €12 with train ride to watch matches in Germany.

Introduce safe standing and lower the pricing. This country needs it.

Bristol City have just said that their new stand is to have safe standing in the lower tier.

If city do notch up the capacity of CoMS to 60,000 then I say do it. It would be a lot more viable then. At the moment the people who sing and stand do. With out much problem. 109,110,111 and the south stand all stand up and sing. Simple as. Want change if it changed to all standing either.
