Southampton (A) - Carabao Cup | Post Match Thread

That was shit. Phillips isn’t good enough. It’s already clear to see.

That performance was absolutely dire, and if we’re to do anything this season we need to get our fucking selves together and sharpish.

Can we get Fernandinho back to call a team meeting, and dish out a collective bollocking for not being at it?

Really piss fucking poor, that first half was like a trip back in time 20/25 years.
I do wonder who in that team is challenging some of those performances and attitudes. Needs some serious conversations in that dressing room.

The biggest worry is our wide players playing consistently poor, Foden looks a shadow of the player he was, Jack nothing like he was at Villa, Marhez good but in little spells, Parker not pushed on. Best winger we have is Silva and he isn’t played anywhere near what he should. Looks like we turn up and hope KFB and Haaland perform.

How Cancelo stayed on the pitch tonight was amazing
He’s Peps love child……

Wide players will struggle with no support from the FBs. We've seen this all season. Against Chelsea, Mahrez suddenly had an overlapping FB and looked a completely different player. Tonight back to inverted FBs. They are killing our play.
