On a positive at least we don’t have to play Newcastle over two legs and have a free week before the Arsenal cup game.
If we’re brutally honest, the first half was one of the worst we played under Pearce. No two ways about it, that was unspeakably bad. The worst we’ve played under Guardiola.

whats the odds?
It also aids disrupting play if the opponents are getting a rhythm then make a sub also not allowing enough time added on so a double whammyThe rule change that allows so many subs has changed the game. Teams can run there arses off and then sub off all the knackered players and go again. It means teams like City who try and play football can no longer tire out the opposition by the second half.
It was annoying we lost but it will be interesting to see how Southampton get on against Everton. Can they play with that level of energy every game?
