I can't even remember the last overhead/scissor kick volleyed goal by a city player?? Maybe Trevor sinclair but he was at qpr at the time :-)

Did KDB score one? One of his first goals for City. Might have been Newcastle at home at the Family stand end

All the makings of a real tricky away game pre CL but our lads done brilliantly today. Have a safe Easter break lads and lasses. Up the fucking Blues.

Good result and second half performance. Im not sure if this matters but we need to find more variety in our play when breaking down deep blocks, Everton are the only team left to play who'll probably imploy this tactic. That first half was similar to Palace, Spurs, Villa, Forest away, the more possesion we have the more comfortable the opposition is sitting deep, Southampton pressed with a front 3 and then reverted back to a deep block when we managed to get the ball to Stones and Rodri, id like us to try more long balls and crosses into the box, let the opposition have the ball and then hit them on the counter.

Kdb was excellent again today, he's our most important player atm.

Anyone else notice on the first goal (haalands header) the Southampton player appealing - god knows what he was appealing for as haaland came from well behind at least two defenders and never touched anyone in the process! Pathetic defending

Credit to Southampton they had us worked out just like the cup game , but their players are cheating their own fans , they can step up and give 100% when we turn up but play shite every other week,
We struggled in first half we needed a break through and KDB/Haaland provided it , totally changed the 2nd half, we were more relaxed and played quicker , some disitinctly average performances though , Gundo , Mahrez , Stones were not at the races today.
Resuts are the only criteria now , if we can play as poorly as the first half and come away with 4-1 away victory then we are doing something right.

They succesfully read our back three and telegraphed it. Kyle was the keysubstition.
