Too many games like that this season.

Poor in both boxes. Not a coincidence when cross after cross comes in and the defence clear it nearly every time. Too many of our players think like midfielders and so do not attack the ball or, get a clean strike away in the box.

Comical defending again at the back. Too many unforced errors and a lack of appetite for actual defending. We face so few counters but it too often ends up in a great opportunity to the opposition.

Of course we played some wonderful football, dominated possession but if we want to get the title back, unforced errors at the back, not taking chances, or attacking crosses/space will need to be a thing of the past.

Also it seems like when we go a goal behind we very rarely turn it around.

Today proved any team on their day can beat anyone. Disappointing we might see double figure defeats this season. We could play till next week and we still wouldnt break them down. Credit Saints, they were superb.

Beaten by the team in 13th place with virtually nothing to play for. No, really, that's pretty disgusting. I think back to the Centurions season and all the matches where we just had the drive to snatch it, even in injury time. That has scarcely happened this season.
We have the skill to smash the champions elect, but not the cussedness and determination when our backs are up against it.

No real complaints from me. Just one of those games, we always seem to have teams defend so deep. But fair do's to Southampton they took they chance and defended well.

Zinchenko and Cancelo aren’t good enough.

Worst I’ve ever seen KDB play.

Fair play to Southampton. They wanted it more.

I thought Cancelo did well. That error did Zinchencko in.

We need to buy a striker and use Foden and Jesus as wing options in light of Sané’s exit. Buy Aouar to get Gundogan out of the team more often. People will say it’s limiting Foden’s games but Foden is a winger in the short term. Then Aouar replaces Gundogan entirely when he leaves, maybe in one year from now. Koulibaly for defence and buy a left back. Then we need a backup keeper assuming Bravo leaves and potentially a right back if Cancelo leaves.

Where is this 200 million quid going to come from for that lot? Where are the youth players? We get to youth Cup finals so must be a good standard but players hardly ever come through. Why??

The one positive for me was Garcia, he looks a very capable defender.
