Don't think anyone is defending the "miss" as such.
More a case of just not singling him out when the whole team underperform.

its misses like that sends out the wrong message to your team mates ? its a fuck me how did you miss that and shakes of heads ? yes the team did underperform but sterling was shocking the time he was on the field and not only the miss but 3 or 4 bad passes and the one to walker is also just as bad.

this manchester city team have to stop coughing up misses like sterling today ? its now time to address it before its a champions league final or a semi final. we have time still in the winter transfer market to bring in a striker like haaland or kane. i could not take another champions league final and somebody misses a sitter

I get the striker shout but always seems to pop up if we don’t win, which isn’t often. Did we not win because of a striker? Maybe, would we have won the games we have with a striker? Who knows, maybe this system is what works so well for us. Lazy comment the striker stuff though as pep said himself he only gets asked it when we don’t win.

It’s not specifically an out and out striker. But the minimum is a goal scoring wide player.

Grealish has been involved in sixteen of the eighteen league victories , so he isnt a passenger in the team , he makes a big contibution to a team effort , if Pep thought for one minute he wasnt pulling his weight he wouldnt be near the starting line up
Bernardo , Sterling and a couple of others were more ineffectual agaisnt S'ton , but there appears to be a trend in the media and some of our "fans" to knock the lad , he gives 100% and i love his attitude , he doent take shit off oppostion players and stands up for himself ,
Her will be a star in the next 12 months , just like Bernardo , Rodri ,Cancelo and a couple of others , let him settle in and get used to the club , tactics and new surroundings.

By the way, just as an aside...Their goal was my fault!!! Why/How, you say when I wasn't even there!

Although I had my 'go to the match kit' on I wasn't wearing my going to the match scarf until just after they scored as it was upstairs rather than in its usual place!
