Southampton (A) - Post Match Thread

By the way, just as an aside...Their goal was my fault!!! Why/How, you say when I wasn't even there!

Although I had my 'go to the match kit' on I wasn't wearing my going to the match scarf until just after they scored as it was upstairs rather than in its usual place!

So please stop blaming the players and lay the blame where it should rest. On my shoulders!! I humbly beg your pardon. :-(
Fail to prepare, prepare to fail. Does Pep know?

Yes but always fold against the scouse and the rags and are far more physical against us

They know what they have to do against us so they just prepare themselves and then hope for the best.

They have no idea what to do against united because they're a bunch of players without a game plan.

They don't want to do anything against Liverpool because they're a valued customer.

Not for me, looks far far worse in slow motion, Real time shows it for what it is and the players didn't seem to think it was that bad either which is generally a decent indicator. He's gone for the ball and was just late, there's very little danger in that. Can't be sending people off for things like that imo.

Oh I know, no complaints with our form, you'd of course take that every day of the week, I'm just commenting on today as an individual game, and it's one we should not be dropping points in. I know it's inevitably going to happen but it doesn't make it any less disappointing. Liverpool certainly wouldn't have been watching expecting us not to win, it's a big bonus for them. Let's hope palace against all odds can even it out tomorrow, in a weird way us both drawing would damage their moral far more than us both winning.
It's the challenge of the Premier league that every champion drops points in games they shouldn't. When Pep says its the toughest league this is the sort of game is what he's talking about

I don't think this was on the ref. We had 95 minutes to win. To blame the red seems an excuse to me
We can't beat everyone 3-4 nil. In tight games it can be decided on the refs decision-making. Yesterday the officials "missed" two straightforward calls and possibly another, the studs up on Grealish.

But it never used to happen, ball was placed firmly in the corner arc!

I'm not saying the rules have changed but more a case of people cottoning on.

Just my observation from over 40 years watching football.
I hate this. They still struggle to beat the 1st man.
KDB corner with virtually the last kick of the match
