Southampton post match thread

Ive a new away shirt waiting to be collected at the CityStore. We've not won a bloody game since I ordered it last Thursday!

This result has become the norm on the road this season, shipping goals to teams that might play well but are nowt special. On the season's showings I'm beginning to think we're nowt special in the pl either!

Hopefully this is the last time he messes around with the team, strongest only from now on

Guys, right now, after such a shit performance, im all for venting on the manager and players but can we leave the point scoring out?

Loads of time during the summer to see who was right and who was wrong about that and by all means, get your little digs in but right now is not the time as tempers are frayed any way after that today.

With the squad at our disposal the league season has been both embarrassing and disappointing. We have been taken apart so many times by very average teams.
Today we should have played Nacho up front and flooded the midfield. Can't wait for next season and somebody in charge with a semblance of discipline.
Needless to say I will not be watching MOTD tonight.

Exactly,why have him there if you're not going to use him EVER ! Put the EDS (FA team) on the bench. Then you have players you can actually use (other than Bony and Navas)
 
If you take out 6 or 7 players from what you consider to be your current best 11 and expect to beat a top 7 team in good form at their ground, you're deluded. I think management believes this holistic (?) idea - that players in similar positions should be able to perform equally as well as the players they replace. It doesn't work. This was in quality far below the best 11 we can field. It was a poor team performance and defeat was more or less inevitable. Essentially this match was
thrown.

But we'll beat Arsenal.

Same old, same old. Simply outworked. We make Shane Long look like Ronaldo and Mane better than Pogba.

Playing with Bony is starting a man down and the midfield was swamped. There killer 3rd goal came from Delph making a shit pass that was never on and their break and subsequent corner killed it. Cannot wait for the season to end as performances like today are an embarrassment.
 
I don't see the forum as a point scoring exercise nor do I see the summer as a time to see who was wrong or right. Couldn't care less if I was wrong - simply a great site to vent frustrations, discuss and give opinions.
Especially after a match.
