Special one not coming then

I'd be disgusted if city sacked the manager without lining up a replacement. That's what any sensible business does

Hogwash. It's not unethical at all. And before you start whining at me, I'm a Mourinho fan... and if we're able to hire him we best do it before firing Mancini.
Actually if that's the case, it is unethical.

I remember this topic of ethics being discussed on Espn in america. Granted even though it was about american football, everyone thought that speaking to (not even hiring yet) a 'coach' while another one held the position was disgusting. Same concept, regardless of sport. That's like spitting in somebody's face.
Oh, yeah. Happens all the time in American football that the head coach is fired and no one is lined up beforehand... which inevitably leads to the team going into the tank for the rest of the season. American football has one thing European football doesn't (with the exception of Germany) and that's a salary cap. Puts teams on more or less an equal footing when looking for a new coach. Go in the tank in the Premier League and you lose out on Champions League and Europa League and your salary structure goes haywire and your players can force moves (can't in American football) and unless you have a Kenny Dalglish waiting in the wings, you might as well hope you manage to scrape by avoiding relegation.

Or you can have a deal in place.

so, just saw that the sun online have an 'exclusive" from jose saying hes off to united at the end of next season and its his dream job etc etc
haven't read it so dont know if its lies and spin/claims of quotes but no actual ones. if so they still wouldnt be that far from the truth.

Err, was his contract at Inter up last summer?

"After days of discussions between Real Madrid and Inter, a record breaking compensation package was successfully agreed on 27 May 2010, and Mourinho was consequently released by Inter"

He didn't actually walk away from it. Real wanted him and they paid Inter the fee. He's never resigned a position yet.

i cant believe how naive this post is bigga mate.....even if he had asked to leave, it would have been in inters best interests and mourinho's payoff interests to get the most compo for him and then announce a mutual agreement

lol at "Custis the Cnut", sounds like he has been reading Bluemoon again....

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...ose-Mourinho-I-will-be-next-Man-Utd-boss.html

JOSE MOURINHO believes he will succeed Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
The Special One wants to take over as Manchester United boss at the end of next season - and reckons he will get the job.

SunSport revealed last month that Real Madrid manager Mourinho, 48, is set on 'coming home' to the Premier League.

He has told close pals he believes the way will be open for him in the summer of 2012.

The problem would come if Fergie decides to go out on a high this year with a second Treble triumph.

Mourinho has three years left on his Real deal but could walk away, such is his desire to return to work in the Prem.

Fergie, 69, said recently: "Jose is a great friend of mine. We've spoken many times about his future and I understand his wish to return to England.

"But it's difficult for me to say when my position will be available. It will be my health that decides."

United chiefs are keen on Mourinho, who won the Champions League with both Porto and Inter Milan and guided Chelsea to two Premier League titles.

The Portuguese coach has led Real into their first Champions League semi-final since 2003, where they will meet bitter rivals Barcelona.

United had earmarked Everton boss David Moyes.

But Mourinho's CV and standing in the game are proving too hard to ignore.

Mourinho was asked yesterday if he might replace Roberto Mancini at Manchester City. He replied: "I say it is impossible."

Mancini said: "Yes, and I think it would be impossible for me to go to Madrid."

Custis you twat.

He's simply pieced together articles and quotes from varying sources over several days and created one to match his own blatant agenda.

I pity the clowns that purchase the rag and, worse still, believe his nonsense.

Wouldn't mind but you have to laugh, it is full back page headline sports news without a single piece of evidence or quote.

The smug cnut has just been on SSN spreading his anti city bile while at the same time bigging up his beloved Rags.

The truth is we are still seen as a laughing stock by many in the media so if we are to get rid of this 35yr old monkey on our backs, and subsequently wipe the smiles off the faces of these arrogant twats, then we need to start producing and tomorrow provides perfect opportunity - this is our very best chance to put down that marker, lets just hope the players realise that and are up for it,they need to be.....

And we will do until we actually start performing on the pitch.

The reason why its imperative we finally get the right man in charge.

We really dont have time on our side.

"Me to City ? No. Impossible". Tonight to Sky Italia.

IF Real Madrid win the Champ League - he will be at City next Season...............if not - he'll stay at Madrid for another crack at it.

If he's serious about returning to Premiership then there's only two places he can go - us or Chelsea. Depends if he's healed the scars with Abramovic - if not, then he only has one option.

Honestly, I think they took them far too lightly because of the manager's silly team selection. Led them to think that Liverpool would be pushovers.

The team may not have been as strong as it coud have been, however,we are apparently fortunate enough to be in the enviable position of having one of the most talented and expensively assembled squads in the league.
We should have been able to expect any eleven players from that squad to at least go there and match their effort and make a game of it - to some tune, they didn't!

Mancini had no option than to take the blame.

Who do you happen to think I was blaming if not Mancini?

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if that was correct.

Cheers for posting.
